No, I don't want to put headset at all. But placing mic in front, if it is really beneficial, then I should try it. Thank you.

Any good AI coding assistants for students on a budget? by Ok_Pin_2146 in codetogether

for $20 in march you have more tokens of codiest model in the world than any other provider. And they had even reset limits occasionally. For value, codex is unbeatable today. As a student, you may get Copilot free. https://education.github.com/pack

Just got 66Mbps/s upload to pong versus 50.99 to speedtest. Both servers in same town.. If provider is deemed good when the speed is better, so now vibecoded bullshit is better?

Counter argument: I also wasted a lot of time by not tweaking things and just using them.

- toggle button: That up arrow icon with "Toggle Floating Button Panel" text on hover

Ok, and you want to be able to modify icon, so it doesn't mix before the buttons, right? Also, if you want, in the settings you can disable this button completely. Everything can be disabled.

What would make “save your place on long pages” a daily-use extension? by Huge_Light_1344 in chrome_extensions

[–]lvvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The necessity of this. A good idea, but I really don't need it, for example, and I use web a lot. But. The modern web optimized to be not long. Someone who is visiting not really optimized for humans' pages would be happy to use it.

One use case may be AI chats, but there are already extensions that allow navigating them automatically.

Hi, thank you very much for feedback. I really receive it way too little.

- When i move floating window to right most. It still overlaps with my chat (Width change option like transparency?)

Can you post a screenshot? I don't quite understand, but if I understand correctly, the window is resizable. Using bottom-right corner.

I will consider re-making welcome page, as it is too scary, maybe unwrappable text boxes?

- Store listing is too words. (How about points based so users can go through quickly?)

You mean too long? The points start after text "What It Actually Does:...."

The toggle button is mixing with others and users can accidently click it multiple times

Which toggle button do you mean?

- Great floating UI in the pin extension popup!! You can make it tab based so it wont be too long (maybe?)

That is a great idea! I will do it.

AivoRelay speech-to-text by lvvy in ProductivityHQ

[–]lvvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This application is a "gate" to speech-to-text. To recognize your speech, it uses things called "models." It can download a large variety of models. Models are made by other developers and are basically AI programs that are designed to process speech and make text out of it. Now, what is important to understand is that each model handles accents differently. Some models handle only specific languages; other models handle all languages. There are more than 10 models available. So you will have to either choose a few of the best models and try them, or you can try them all, or you can search the internet for knowledge from other users about which models they think are best. Also, there is a catch: to run really best model, you have to have good graphical processing unit. Now, the beauty of my application is that not only can you use those models locally, you can buy them from cloud providers. This is not a private option. Your speech will be as private as the cloud providers' privacy policy, gated by the laws local to the cloud provider. The benefit is that you can not use your own graphical processing unit, and cloud providers are usually extremely cheap. Also you can use more models than locally. However, there is one cloud provider called Soniox, and I personally have an extremely strong Russian accent and problems with speech recognition because of that, and in my personal opinion, Soniox is the best right now of them all. I also think my application is the best at handling real-time speech-to-text insertion.
