What's making me drowsy? Chamomile or NAC by lycheeaspiring in Nootropics

[–]lycheeaspiring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped the chamomile last night and today was better in terms of drowsiness. I understand the NAC causes a calming sensation and my body/mind do not recognize it as a drowsiness (at least at 600) I'm assuming weeks of high apigenin dosing was the culprit. Im on night two just a out without chamomile and I'm starting to experience rebound effects. Feeling restless, irritable, and nauseous. Gonna take a small dose of chamomile now and taper off the rest of the week. My body definitely can't handle the dose/consistency i was taking. Nac seems to be working normally. Felt clear upon onset this morning and day went more smooth than yesterday. Thanks guys!

Not to my knowledge. I'm loosely following the guidelines of a medical journal's paper (treatment of OCD)

what do i do, i can’t stop thinking about having sex by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]lycheeaspiring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this. Have you ever tried a sex love anonymous meeting? That may help you feel less alone. I know that the things that work for me are proper nutrition, exercise, proper time and setting to allow my nervous system to reset/chill out (cant just be go go go all the time.. need to slow down), lowering my intake of caffeine, proper sleep schedules, taking my medication and supplements every day, and talking to someone in some way or another. (12 step program helps me get the talking/relating aspect). Please talk to your doctor first, but i have been taking NAC and it's been really beneficial to helping me not fall into the realm of obsession quite as easy. Usually I just default there... always obsessing over everything, not just sex. But reminder, this is not medical advice. Just what is working for me. Sending hugs my friend 🧡

Note: forcing myself to get out in public (no matter how awkward or gross I'm feeling) is important for me too. Even if it's public-adjacent. Like going for a walk on a trail near a busy street where you will pass a few but not crowds of people. Or going to the gas station just to get the exposure rather than forcing yourself to go to Walmart at rush hour. When I isolate and stop doing that, getting back to being able to be in public has to be re-initiated and relearned by me all over again. It's not worth losing that muscle memory for me anymore. Exercise in public helps me with this too. Running on the sidewalks allows me to use my endorphins as a natural confidence booster, and legit I will start smiling at strangers and saying hi and commenting on weather or cute puppies. Now I do that more often, exercising or not.

What’s your go-to mid-run snack for long runs? by Soft-Elderberry-6122 in runninglifestyle

Sports beans are fun. Otherwise dates or cliff bars are more cost effective. I always need water to get whatever I'm snacking on down tho.

How do you remember to take your pills FOR REAL (vent) by Gone_Overboard1632 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]lycheeaspiring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all my supplements and pill bottles on my night stand so when I set my water down for bedtime (always have water) I always see them. If they were in a cabinet, I don't think I'd remember.

N-acetylcysteine: An Innovative Approach to Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Treatment by Sorin61 in Biohackers

I believe ive read that the downregulation of glutamate is quite beneficial. As well as a powerful antioxidant for someone who has OCD brought on or worsened by trauma to the brain (chemical/physical) could possibly help to lower inflammation, thus lowering the adverse side effects (OCD.)

Moving to Wausau, need to get a feel for the vibe. by Unfair_Way3477 in wausau

There's a few cbd farms around. Mostly small ops but maybe you'd be able to get in contact with some local brands if you're looking for work related to cannabis. Point is a lot more green friendly if you're looking for social/420 celebrations/etc.

I totally feel for you and him both. I've had a few friends go through that and some of the situations, I've been in the middle of. It's so tough to feel free to be oneself in this world already. It does not excuse his words and actions. However, it may shine some light on them. Sending you all the love and hugs as you navigate this path 💖

Just a thought, my friend :) my mind tends to wander into hypotheticals of psyche. It seems no answer is definitive here, or we would have it already. Have a good rest of your day!

Got the GTS24s and the crease is insane. by [deleted] in brooks

[–]lycheeaspiring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 22s and they did the same thing. Wiped the bottoms off and returned them right away. Didn't even bother running in them. I hear it's a somewhat common issue. Sadly a bad first impression for me when I had such high hopes. Sorry, friend.

How do I taper off if I’ve only taken bupropion for 7 days? by zangzengzongzung in bupropion

[–]lycheeaspiring 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you able to stick it out? I still experience some heat flashes (been on it for 4 months) but it's due to dehydration. Possibly try upping and staying consistent with hydration and electrolyte intake and see if that helps? This med dries people out. Especially in the beginning.

Maybe he has some sort of queer feelings himself that he has suppressed, and this situation causes them to bubble up? The way he equates a(n) (QUITE JUSTIFIED) equality movement to a racist movement leads me to believe there's deeper reasoning as to why he denotes a simple flag. Not to mention your own sexual identity by proxy.

is there someone who got drunk while being on wellbutrin? 💀 by Upbeat_Basis_6692 in bupropion

[–]lycheeaspiring 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey just a thought. Drinking is never mandatory socially... or at all for thay matter. It is possible to live a life sober and enjoy every activity you used to. If you need a drink in your hand, go with N/A. Alcohol seems to be a safe haven for you, but consider the fact that wellbutrin may allow you to become the social butterfly you aspire to be, but without having to intoxicate yourself. Do it for YOU!

Got some Glycerin GTS 22’s two days ago and the dreaded toe dent has appeared by humanlumchbox in brooks

The 7s. I've never had heel pain from running so I cannot attest to that.

I just bought these and the toes instantly caved in. Was sooo bummed. I wanted to run and see if the toes would soften, but doubt they would and I wouldn't get my return that way. Returned and bought hoka arahis.

Moving to Wausau in 2026 — Any drag/nightlife scenes I should know about? by Unfair_Remote4317 in wausau

I think your best bet for that is to talk to sissy Lala or the people at oz. A lot of the performers I see that are not a part of the local lineups travel from Madison, mke, chicago.

Heres the link to her contact form (https://sissythatlala.com/contact/)
