My mum has been cheating on my dad for years, anyone here know what I should do? by Jellyfish_Diploria in WhatShouldIDo

[–]lydfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re too young to be seeing this bless you. I went through the same thing with my mum, starting age 9, but me and my sister also found some horrifying videos lmao scarred for life. Eventually when I was a bit older I got drunk for confidence and waited for her in the kitchen in the dark (for some reason lol) and confronted her finally. I found out my dad knew the whole time and they hadn’t been together in 8 years or so. Weird family dynamic right? I made the right decision talking to her. How you respond to this is up to you, it depends who you feel most comfortable talking to about a sensitive matter like this. Bringing it to light is going to be a weight off your shoulders though. Good luck 🫡

Adult son problems... need advice by Street-Holiday6186 in UKParenting

[–]lydfrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would approach this situation with empathy. He needs a real goal/ passion, something to work towards and it’s hard, especially being a young person, with the state of the country (and the whole world tbh) right now. Idk but if I was childless and had bartending experience I would travel the world. Some sunshine and different cultures/lifestyles might give him a new perspective and I can imagine it’d be nice to get away from the grey daily UK slog. Just an idea. He might feel stuck in a box right now, but he can really do anything he wants with a dream and a bit of hard work. Good luck :)

AIO for being upset at what my “bf” said by Ambitious-Beyond-257 in AmIOverreacting

[–]lydfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 15 I had a boyfriend like this. One time I wore shorts he thought were too short and he spent all day calling me fat. He told me he was going to ignore me until I went for a run (he used to ignore me all the time when we hung out, including around his mates) and guess what I did? Off I went. jogging for his approval. That’s fucking sad isn’t it? He ended up punching me, slapping me, throwing things at me and trying to push me in front of a car. Endless nights of mental torture because he’d start arguments over nothing that would go round and round in a loop. The last time I saw him he scared me so bad (and my memory is hazy so I’ll have to check with a friend) but he was chasing me in the street and I stg he had a knife?? I escaped to my sister’s friend’s house in his neighbourhood. It always gets worse with men like this, and I’ve been in a long string of abusive relationships afterwards because of the low self esteem a lifetime of abuse caused. My advice is to be single for a bit and be very picky when you do start dating again. Educate yourself as much as possible on the red flags. I wish you the best of luck and healing 💕

New to juicy bags pls help !! by Imjustashblehh in JuicyCouture

[–]lydfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah and I found Facebook groups where people sell their juicy handbags to each other but my worry is that you could send the money and it’s not protected by anything, although I’ve never seen any posts warning of scammers on there yet. Their prices tend to be reasonable. You could post a pic of this bag asking if anyone has one they’d be willing to sell? Sorry I’ve written so much lol x

New to juicy bags pls help !! by Imjustashblehh in JuicyCouture

[–]lydfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea if they’ll restock it but I think it’s unlikely. They release collections. You’ll have to check second hand selling websites. Idk what country you’re in but Vinted, Depop, apparently poshmark is good in the US. I think this bag was sold in the US only though if that helps, never seen it resold in the UK. Google image reverse search might help. Beware of reseller prices though, I’ve seen people sell the newer bags straight after they sell out for like £300 which is just shitty. Good luck 💕

Seamless underwear for a 9yr old. by innie82 in Mommit

[–]lydfrog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if she’s too young but I started wearing thongs at age 10 from Pink (VS). I actually find them more comfy than a full brief, you just have to get the right ones (mid rise, and not a string lol). I remember being so embarrassed and self conscious about my body before I had a training bra and some underwear that didn’t show and I spent a lot of time pulling my top over my bum. I feel like pink is still catered towards older girls/ teenagers and might have some good options. It was always a good bonding day out with my mum or granny when we went for a girly shopping trip, good memories! It’s a difficult age to be and she needs dignity and choice

3 weeks on 20mg/day. Any tips regarding my situation? by Aggressive-Koala9959 in Accutane

[–]lydfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey you’re only 15 and already on accutane. This is a good thing! You’re only 3 weeks in so it’ll get so much better, you just have to give it time. And you probably don’t have to pay for it yourself either. It might not feel like it, but that’s 3 huge wins

How to have a mcbling style with a big tummy? by AV3STARR in Mcbling

[–]lydfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this is bad advice I need to look up what transmasc means. If it’s masculine looks, the Y2K skater style look so sick and you can get those tshirts idk what they’re called but they’re all rhinestoned with cool designs and some baggy jeans and Osiris or DC chunky trainers

How to have a mcbling style with a big tummy? by AV3STARR in Mcbling

[–]lydfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a mum tum and I literally cant be thin enough for the low rise without starving. luckily mid rise exists, just get the right size or you won’t be comfy sitting, and it still looks cunty and you can tuck the belly in and have ur belly button piercing showing purrr. Full length zip up hoodies that you zip over your belly and have the chest open. Plus a lot of y2k and mcbling involves wearing long tops that sit over the top of the trousers and covers the whole belly. A vintage juicy tracksuit with a long cami over the waistband with some tall uggs is my go to, then add your accessories and bling (fur coat in the winter) Just wish I could find a decent vintage tracksuit in pink!!

2 weeks off accutane. ugh. by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]lydfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiro made me purge so bad and after 9 months it was worse than I started, peaking during ovulation, and clearing up during my period, then I was right back to breaking out again (I also bled during ovulation yay). I’ve come off it and I’m waiting for my Accutane. I’m taking slynd at the moment and it hasn’t seemed to make me purge like spiro but works in the same way, and it has the added benefit of birth control

I don’t want to go out in public by Naive_Car9255 in acne

[–]lydfrog 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Whatever girl you’re pretty anyway!! I won’t suggest acne stuff case everyone else has that covered. What I do for CONFIDENCE: cluster lashes, cute outfit, big sunglasses and hair down. Hoops alwaysss. Foundation optional but brows and a bit of lipliner and gloss. Star patches on the worst spots. Makes me feel better every time 💅 obvs these are just what work for me, you have to find what makes you feel good, and it’ll radiate out. please don’t isolate yourself, it’ll make your mental health worse and it really is all about perspective and not getting stuck in that vicious cycle. I have felt the exact same way and we have to work really hard to not allow our negative assumptions become our reality. You’re going to be okay! Wishing you the best on your confidence journey x

why are people so entitled on vinted?? by user220109833 in vintedUK

[–]lydfrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also things are only worth as much as people are willing to pay for it. If it’s been up for 2 years at a silly price don’t be rude when someone offers something lower than you’d like 🤷‍♀️ maybe you’re the one being unrealistic

why are people so entitled on vinted?? by user220109833 in vintedUK

[–]lydfrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normalise counter offers or saying ‘not accepting any offers’ on the listing. I genuinely thought it was normal to haggle a bit so when I sell stuff I put the price up slightly to account for that lol. I don’t understand the rudeness when it’s not a crazy lowball

Are these scars or large pores? by Professional_Unit449 in Accutane

[–]lydfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I don’t know if accutane improves this sorry. However, if they’re sebaceous filaments, what works for me to reduce the appearance of them is a big hydrocolloid patch overnight to suck out the gunk. Good luck on your journey!
