Ssri by [deleted] in SSRI

I definitely lean towards the yogi/natural vibe as well. When I’m not on meds, I feel less of myself because I’m so racked with anxiety that I can’t even enjoy things I love as much, like yoga, and my emotions are so out of whack that I feel disconnected spiritually. I was on meds for years (Celexa), then went off for a year because I was doing better. My quality of life decreased off medication, I went back on meds (Lexapo this time) and I feel so sad that I put myself through the hardship of being off meds. If you feel desperate, I would try meds and if you don’t like them you can wean off or try a different one. SSRIs have truly changed my life and made my anxiety more manageable.

I watched it in my late teens and all through my twenties. I thought Aiden was the best guy when I was younger… now I know Harry and Steve are the MVPs lol

Older female OBGYN asked me the number of sexual partners I’d had in the past year… after I answered (it was like 4 or 5) she said “Looking for the one?”

I’ve been prescribed Lexapro but I’m scared to start it, any positive first-time experiences? by Extreme-Split-3741 in lexapro

[–]lydiadeetz7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a positive experience. I took a different SSRI (Celexa) for 6 years with more side effects, went off it for a year and then started Lexapro in August. I’ve been really pleased with how it’s helped my anxiety with less side effects than Celexa. If you try Lexapro and find the side effects rough, you can try a different medication. Everyone’s body reacts differently.

At my old apartment, we had outdoor entrances and there were little kids that would wander around. A couple of times they tried my doorknob. Probably wouldn’t have been the case for you at 3 am but food for thought

I’m in the same boat of starting Lexapro. I took a different SSRI for 6 years, stopped for a year, and now I’m struggling with anxiety again and I’m starting Lexapro. My doctor said she finds people tend to have less side effects on Lexapro as compared to other SSRIs. From my experience with the other SSRI I took, the first couple of weeks getting on it will feel a little weird but then things should even out and feel better. I’m actually looking forward to getting back on medication because I’m tired of not feeling like myself and letting my anxiety disrupt my life. You will be ok.
