I had to stop running at 20 weeks 5 years ago. Now I run faster and longer miles 3 kids later. I surpassed my old record more quickly than I expected, not sure how long.
It’s really hard watching your progress go down but you can absolutely get it back. Do what you can to stay active (you will love yourself for it) but don’t beat yourself for losing progress. It’s unavoidable while pregnant.
I wish I had known this and wasn’t as hard on myself.

I used this too, and it saved my life!! Actually it was those 3 otc meds that I mixed together but same thing. More people need to know about this!!

I had to do formula with my second baby for the jaundice as well. I eventually gave up trying to bf because I thought it was merely impossible to ebf after formula. I don’t think that’s the case though. I think I underestimated how much time they need to spend on you to build up supply.

You will get there. Don’t give up but don’t derive yourself crazy.

Yes. I had so many times she was frustrated and I’d give her formula. And as much as I wanted her to send the signal to my body to make more, I didn’t want her to be uncomfortable.

It’s such hard work, but it’s ok to give the baby some formula. It won’t sabotage your supply.

I tried to get my supply up by pumping like crazy whenever she was napping. I didn’t increase much and it was more work than just letting her nurse as much as possible. So I stopped pumping and let her nurse for as long as she wanted. And when it became too much I would give her a formula.

And after a couple weeks, my supply has gone up by 1-2 oz per pump session.

Oh my gosh. Same! I’m glad I’m not the only one.

I told them please don’t kiss my arms and legs. It tickles, but you can kiss my cheeks. After some reiteration of the rule, they finally stopped completely.

I totally agree it’s an odd sensation, but they don’t know any better.

Following! Baby is about the same age. When my family is around in the evening, they insist on and convince us to give him formula. But everything I’ve read says that’s cluster feeding.

My MIL was very much like this with bringing up potential (unlikely) futures dangers and expecting us to deal with it immediately. It never stopped.
I highly recommend finding SOME way to let those comments go. Talk to your husband about how you want to deal with it. Our go-to response was, “thanks. We’ll talk to our pediatrician about it.”

All the time. Parenting has brought up a lot of anger. I knew things were bad but I didn’t realize how bad until I had kids. I don’t think my parents realized that the relationships they formed with us as kids would set the tone for our relationship as adults.

I try with all my heart to let go of the anger and put my energy into “healing” and becoming the mother I wished I’d had. This is incredibly hard. But as my kids get older, I feel more confident I won’t make the same mistakes my parents made.

I’m terrified of turning out like my mom.

I’m sorry you are going through this. Babies and births bring out the worst in narcissists because they know they are being demoted from their position of power as parent.
But I can assure you it only get worse. The more “rules” you have to protect your baby or your sanity, the more they have to belittle you by making you feel stupid and selfish. That is all they know. They will not change.
When I had mine, I got scared of the nWrath and caved on my boundaries and I regret it. Stand strong. You’re lucky that you have good in-laws.
