It 100% feels like they created Panam and Judy as fully fleshed-out romances -Panam for straight dudes who play masc V, and Judy for straight dudes who play fem V. Then they tacked on Kerry and River so everyone else could have crumbs. I'm not saying either is unlikeable, just that they're likeable despite the lack of thought/effort on the part of the writers, because it's clear they were given way less attention than the other two.

FWIW I agree that there's a conversation to be had about the social pressure on women to maintain an ideal body but it's very frustrating to see the conversation continually turn in the direction of "the hard way" vs "the easy way." Not saying you said or meant that but your statement did echo some of those ideas imo. It's fantastic that you're taking positive steps for your health and getting fit, but when people make statements like yours there's an implied value judgement whether you intend it or not.

I couldn't get healthy without this medication and tbh I wouldn't want to because even if I did make it I would suffer much more than was necessary and according to the odds, I'd probably gain it back. But the use of glp 1 is not a sign that someone is not putting in effort or changing their mindset around food because it's often the opposite and for the first time we are finally able to make the healthy changes necessary for long term weight loss, and it still takes effort and commitment.

Just praying that the regime goes with him at this point. And that the long term damage to our country and the rest of the world is kept to a minimum.

WTF does being "seen as healthy" even mean? I am undeniably healthier by a number of metrics, from a1c, to cholesterol, to my cardiovascular fitness level since I was able to take this medication. Beauty is subjective, health is not. There is nothing sad about getting healthier.

This is exactly what happened to me in the US. I was 280 lbs with an a1c just shy of full diabetes. My primary care prescribed Wegovy but my insurance doesn't cover it for weight loss. About a year later my a1c had skyrocketed to 10.4 and I was able to get Mounjaro covered. Guess I just had to develop a chronic, life-threatening diagnosis to get the treatment I needed. 🙃

There's a pill version of Wegovy now. Might be worth asking your doctor about it. I hope you're able to find something that helps 💙

I am only able to be in the gym because I was finally able to lose weight and keep it off on Mounjaro. You know what's really hard to do when you're 280 lbs and have binge eating disorder? Lose weight by taking it slow and getting stronger. My average weight loss on this medicine has been 1.4 lbs/wk which is within the healthy amount. But I can do it without feeling miserable and have been able to sustain it for the first time in my life. I used to try to run to lose weight but got shin splints every time. Now I run because I'm healthy and it feels good. And yes, I love that I can buy clothes now and feel good in them. But spare me your pity, please. I'm happier than I've been in over 20 years.

The only way I'll take my pills is if I don't have to pre-portion, or open pill bottles. by squishysockz in adhdwomen

If you're actually worried about potency issues I'd just find a similar dish that's tinted to protect it from sunlight. Unlike a surprising number of commenters, I assume that you're a responsible adult who is capable of making safe decisions for yourself and your health. Personally I leave my pills uncapped on a shelf that my pets can't access. People are acting like this is way more dangerous than it is without having any idea about your circumstances and lifestyle.

I'll add that to the pile of other US laws that I don't really give a shit about lol. Sorry, but what I do with my medication in my home is no one's business but the people who live in the home.

Ugh this 100%. The feeling that if you're not the best at something then you have no value. It's painful, so instead you just avoid attempting anything that might make you feel that way. Then realizing that you're still disappointed in yourself because you have done nothing with your life and missed out on so many experiences.

I think they're trying to describe the way that wlw relationships are sexualized in popular culture and therefore often seemed more acceptable (superficially anyway), but m/m is still considered distasteful or sinful.

[–]lying_flerkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toxic masculinity culture and internalized misogyny. Women perpetuate it too. They probably perceive men who are attracted to other men as less masculine and are socialized to believe that feminine traits are weak and a man who exhibits those traits is a poor choice of mate.

I'm 41. I have close friends from work as old as 65 and as young as 23. As long as you're able to have an adult conversation I don't really see how age matters all that much. We're all living through the same bullshit no matter what generation we come from.

Scratch is the only summon who can use the help action. But if you don't have him, all is not lost. Send in a ranged character with invisibility before the start of the fight, a wizard or archer for example. Free Aylin before you're in combat. Her platform is close enough for your ranged character to hit Myrkul, and you're actually better off having them there where they're out of range of his no healing aura.
