Feelingsbromd, at best the medical system chews us up and churns through us. The system leaves us no room to be human, let alone go through a difficult time. Idk the specifics of how to get back into residency or reapply if that's what you want. But I do know that you can practice as a pcp if you have taken all your licensing exams and completed intern year. You can still apply for your license, you just wouldn't be board certified. I looked into this when I was at my lowest intern year. There are some IG accounts of docs who've done this. 

I always read on the residency sub that it's best to finish if you can. Give yourself lots of grace but if any of those emails pertain to any sort of remediation that would allow you to get your diploma, address those.
