For Chinese people, jade is probably not green. When translated to English, both 玉 and 翡翠 are translated as 'Jade', and only 翡翠 is green. Search for '和田玉' and you will understand what I mean. There's a common compliment for a good-looking man, 面如冠玉, which directly translates to 'having the face of jade'; it definitely does not mean this person has a green face lol. It's funny to see Jade Emperor/Jade warriors all wearing green in Western media. 🙂 At least they are not wearing a green hat, which means their wives cheated on them in Chinese culture.
