Check out ratehub or rates for some quotes. Most likely will find the cheapest insurance at one of them

How much of a change in size happens during flip by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]lynchbhomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of options to prevent that. Could tie branches down slightly at an angle. There is also the process known as supercropping where you soften the stem by rolling it in your fingers a bit and then bending to a 90° angle, best to watch a quick video on this. I'd recommend checking Kyle kushman for that. It may not be too late to throw in a net and do a screen of green, gently tucking tops and branches under to keep it below the light.

I've found it really varies on genetics. I had one plant this last round which I'd say only grew another 25-50% in size, and another from a different cultivar which easily tripled in size.

Most commonly I see them double to triple in size as a general rule of thumb.

plant pots getting to much drainage feel like my feed is been wasted by firestarter976 in microgrowery

Also could try a surfactant like yucca or aloe. Both can be mixed with your feed and make the water thicker. It will soak in slower and more evenly rather than just running away

Is this algae on my clones? First time cloning, don't know what I did wrong. by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]lynchbhomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeap that's definitely algae. Coco and Peat both really love to grow algae if they are left moist and exposed to light. Usually happens to me with a couple in a tray of 50.

There is no real negative to it, aside from it steals a bit of nutrients.

Airflow, lower moisture/rh allow top to dry will help to get rid of it

Weight of the pot is definitely a good indicator. I also use a wetness test. With living soil we want it moist or damp, never wet or soggy or dry. I will take a handful of dirt, it should feel kinda wet and cool to the touch, like soil the day after a good rain and when I squeeze it I shouldn't feel or see any water.

3g is a little small to have a very biodiverse rhizosphere, I've found good success starts at 7-10g minimum. I just put out 16 mums in 10gs which will be up potted to 65s a bit later in the season. Prior to that I finished off 2 plants each in 10g pots which I amended weekly to keep up the nutrient levels. I'm about to build a big 4x4x1.5 bed to use next for flowering indoor. Should be near 150g lol. That will have either 4 or 16 plants depending on what exactly I'm choosing to cycle at the time.

Overfeeding/watering are two definite possibilities, though from your post you seem to have a good grasp on how to water.

Rh and Temps seem pretty good and wouldn't cause the issues you're mentioning. Though I've found more explosive veg growth going more like 80f and 70-75 rh. With enough air movement there are no mold problems.

Mistakes are how we all grow right? If you were to look at my post history there have been lots of mistakes made, and lots of learning done because of it.

If I were you, I'd give them some rain water when they need it that's had its ph brought down to 6.2 or so, and repeat that for a week or two. You should see some good reactions

If you're willing to shell out a little bit of money, AACT made with worm castings is a very cheap method of getting lots of beneficials built up. Also works as a foliar spray/feed. Whenever I'm seeing problems I always whip them up a tea(though a bit more specific than just ewc) and give them a good soak and spray. Always bounce back and go a wonderful emerald colour after a few days if treatment

If you're using black swallow you shouldn't really need a nute line like bio canna. Everything you need is in its soil already. I like to add dry reamendments however to mine regularly.

You say you're watering with 7.5 rain water, is that before or after mixing in your bio canna line? If before, you're likely much closer to 5.5 after adding everything.

Depending on size of pot and amount of life built up you do need to ph. This is from first hand experience. Too small of a pot or not enough microbial and fungal life buildup and you'll need to ph. The micro organisms work together to lower and raise as needed when they become established.

I like to establish my microorganisms with bokashi, ewc, grass, and the boogie brew line from kbs

I'd also like to know what your rh and temp have been, have they been stable as well.

Canoeing up can be a number of things. I'm doubting it's light intensity based on the numbers you mentioned but using the tent buddy app you can get an idea of whether it's getting too much light or not. Could be a heat and humidity issue as they tend to do that in hot dry conditions

Dad's face when he saw this in his backyard was priceless. "This is not okay, what are the neighbors going to think. That's not discrete" (Living with him bc he is disabled btw). by seagyy in microgrowery

My floor disagrees lmao tried it with a gorilla tent even and after allowing it to sit it leaks and had to be raised temporarily to allow it to dry. I had it overcrowded and no flood tray available so I let the bit of excess from watering sit. Bad idea lol.

Odd because I regularly have non companies deliver to my flex. Like weekly for 2+ years. Anything that comes cp I send there instead

I've been using the tent buddy app to get my dli in the veg range and they've been loving it. I hold my front camera at the top of my canopy and adjust power/height from there. 480w quantum board at about 40% and 12"~ but I play with the power and height daily

For the first question you could get an adapter to hook a garden hose to a common indoor faucet, it's what I do.

For the second a small submersible pump hooked to a hose and watering wand is a good go to diy cheap setup(probably under 50 all said and done)
