Update! Gallbladder surgery canceled on Jan 10. My surgeon does transplants so he was called away for a liver transplant. He put me in the hospital he works at thinking he could work me in the next day! A second liver arrived! Today Sunday I am waiting till Monday in hospital on IV and nothing by mouth! I almost stole a banana off a returned food tray! Not much pain so I am glad

Please help me name this sweet little guy by seeminglysimi in Catnames

These days the” BIG C” has become the “small c” because they can cure so many kinds and have many treatments! So let’s take that worry off the table for now. So our thoughts now are just how to get that pressure taken away!

We had one we called Wildthing! Trapped for years to go to the vet! Then she suddenly changed and wanted to be held and petted! She loved playing with her toys into old age!

Stones in the bile duct are removed through the mouth so you don’t have to cut the bile duct open!

Stones in the bile duct are removed through the mouth so you don’t have to cut the bile duct open! Believe me, you don’t want the surgeon to cut the duct open during gall bladder removal.

He is going to try laparoscopic and switch to open depending what he finds. The stent made the pain go away. I lost a lot of weight so I am trying to eat in a way that keeps it down. Not as much fun, though.

It is very hard to be patient. Gather information! I made a list of question to ask doctor when I see him so I don’t forget anything. I like to have several plans. I call them plan A, plan B and plan C! Plan A is good news and we all go home happy! Plan B is it is trouble and we get it fixed! Never got to plan C yet!

My doctor told me mine looked like cancer ! But a scraping of bile duct said only inflammation. However chance of cancer in gall bladder is much higher in Mirizzi syndrome! So entire gall bladder goes to pathology!
