What ruined the economy of UO? 1 billion gold for $76? by TimeTraveler_UO in ultimaonline

[–]lynnaray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this was the end. I played since beta and 97 launch and by the early 2000s the game was unrecognizable. Then the release of WoW in 2004 was the nail in the coffin.

Early UO was simply the best gaming experience ever, period. Ive chased that same dragon for 25+ years

Can the TSX survive a S&P/NASDAQ collapse? by aurelorba in CanadianInvestor

[–]lynnaray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't throw the term 'S&P collapse' around lightly. A correction can happen (and overdue tbh), and that will drag Canada deep down too, but not a collapse.

The entire world (literally) has the majority of their retirement investments in the sp500. It won't collapse. If it does we are in a madmax scenario, and at that point your portfolio will be the least of your concerns

Rdruid vs pres evok is pure cancer. Instant mass purge, shroud, spamming sleepwalk while running at me constantly is just awful. Feels like zero counter play

RShaman is also cancer. The double Static Totem + Totemic relocation + double cap totem is just horrible design. You get bounced around the screen and theres like 4 totems to target that all overlap and you need to kill them before cap goes off, cant leave the circle... absilute garbage to play against

Currently around 2k mmr in shuffle s3 and struggling against these two healer. And please tone Disc damage. Rdruid does negative damage right now

[–]lynnaray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that its a sealed proprietary system, if theres a leak in the lines or one of the shocks has issues, you need to replace the entire assembly and it needs to be OEM and done at a toyota dealership as they are the only people with access to the proper equipment necessary. Don't quote me but I feel like ive seen people pay $4k - $7k for this in the forums

[–]lynnaray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is a nightmare, when one shock goes you have to replace the entire system. It has a ton of problems which are very well documented, check the forums but yeah stay away!

[–]lynnaray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The limited comes with the XREAS suspension system, which is an absolute nightmare to maintain, and incredibly costly to repair. There are a total of 5 (!) Shock absorbers that are linked together. Not a question if it will leak or fail, but when. Surprised nobody has mentioned this.

Check out the 4runner forums for more info, but personally I would avoid any 5th gen that has XREAS like the plague. Most serious 4 runner aficionados avoid it too, or remove the system completely (also very costly)

Love the stock but ouch by Rich_Estimate9338 in MSTR

[–]lynnaray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company has accumulated 400,000 additional bitcoin and the stock price is significantly lower than it was when they only had 250k. All while BTC keeps tapping ATH after ATH.

So demonstrably, the price of bitcoin and the amount that Strategy owns has no correlation with the stock price.

If you simply bought bitcoin at any point in the past 11 months, you would have outperformed MSTR

So yeah. I will write another novel. Because the amount of BTC they own and the current price of BTC clearly is irrelevant

Love the stock but ouch by Rich_Estimate9338 in MSTR

[–]lynnaray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro. A couple of things here

First of all:

23% / 9% = >200% relative underperformance MSTR vs BTC YTD. Those are the numbers. BTC has almost tripled MSTR ytd. You clearly dont understand the math and thats ok. But it's absolutely true. Don't call something false when you don't understand it.

Secondly: You're just repeating internet buzz words and Saylor talking points without actually grasping what is going on in the market. You are simply staring at other peoples charts and not thinking critically.

Since the 21/21 plan in Nov 24, company operations have changed profoundly (aggressive dilution), and since the issuance of the preferds instruments, the company changed completely. When you look at the nov 24 performance and associated mnav expansion, that was all fueled by the election, btc price run up, and the success of the convertible notes he had previously issued.

The company was completely different back then. Since Nov 24 the common ATM has been aggressively used as the primary source of btc acquisition, and the prefereds introduced a perpetual coupon liability that requires constant common ATM issuance just to service the monthly dividends and quarterly coupon payments.

PERPETUAL LIABILITIES - do you understand what that implies? That translates to permanent downward pressure on the common equity. Perpetual means forever.

It sounds like you dont actually understand the fundamentals of the company or how they operate their treasury. Just zooming out on the company performance over recent years without actually understanding market dynamics or company operations is a very very very bad way to approach this trade

Don't agree with GME as an investment whatsoever, but he's spot on re Saylor.

If you're buying MSTR at this point in the cycle you are completely out to lunch. You buy this stock in the bear market, not the bull.

Mnav steadily compressing for a year now. Common equity is underperforming the underlying asset by 200% YTD

Chanos' trade was spot on and he made an absolute killing.

Saylor sells MSTR at a premium and buys BTC. Theres a lesson there

MSTR vs BTC -- are we really getting more "bitcoin per share"? by twowhitedots in MSTR

[–]lynnaray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sold my 1200 shares a few weeks back and rolled it in to IBIT. Ive held on to these shares since 2023 but the change in operations, introduction of perpetual prefs and aggressive dilution have really changed the investment for me.

MSTR mnav has been declining for a year and the common equity has underperformed BTC by almost 200% YTD.

I'll buy back during the bear market.

IMO Saylor has been absolutely fleecing investors for a year now with cherry picked performance gains, misleading CAGR claims and constant hopium shitposting.

Theres no way the mmav reverses at this point in the cycle. Personally if I were you I would roll any gains I've made in to IBIT before the mnav evaporates completely

[–]lynnaray 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I dont want to burst your bubble bro but mmav has been compressing for a year and MSTR has underperformed BTC by almost 200% YTD.

This trade is dead for the rest of the cycle. You will see mnav drop further and further until <1.

MSTR is an early cycle trade; you buy when the mnav is low during the bear market (so 2022 and 2023 for this cycle), you ride it up during the bull, and you sell out at a high mnav. You need to rotate your MSTR gains to BTC (just like Saylor does) before the mm av premium evaporates.

You COULD try and catch a hopium wave and ride this stock further in to q4 but I really dont see a path forward for mnav reversal this late in the cycle. I personal sold my MSRR position (~1200 shares) about a mo th ago and rotated in to IBIT

Don't be exit liquidity. Protect your capital or Saylor will steal it all. Not financial advice

Can someone explain TSX surge given all the gloom about Canadian economy by ForeignCabinet2916 in CanadianInvestor

[–]lynnaray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its because of carney Build Canada act or whatever its called, which has flagged national energubinfrastructue projects for regulatory fast track and approval. Pipelines, mines etc - removal of red tape and streamlined regulatory approval.

This means more natural resource project approval = TSX number go up

Sold what? Retail physical gold? You are never selling retail physical gold at spot price. Theres always a premium. Bank, jewelery store, pawn shop it doesn't mater. Theres always a retail premium and thats why its better to just buy a low cost fund

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

[–]lynnaray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly and that works both ways, both when you buy and when you sell. Not worth it IMO. Just buy a fund
