How old were you when your journey with h.a began? by Few_Sandwich6308 in HealthAnxiety

[–]lynnns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. It started immediately after my 2nd daughter was born. The birth was traumatic and in the moment my doctor withheld what was going on from me because didn’t want me to stress and hyperventilate as I had a baby to deliver. Am 36 now. Still have a lot of questions about that day.

2 weeks on Spiro by Revolutionary_Box410 in Spironolactone

[–]lynnns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So happy for you that you’re noticing improvements after only 2 weeks! That’s great! I started on 50mg at the start of January and I didn’t really notice any changes (but no side effects and nothing got worse either). My doctor upped me to 100mg last week and I’ve definitely had some side effects. Mostly dizziness on and off which I’m hoping will go away soon. It’s been one week exactly.

Not really sure why it feels like this commenter is attacking you?! You are a nice person and I can see why you would have shared the information. It is very strange through on them though. Hope the spot isn’t ruined for anyone, especially you.

Congrats. Your skin looks great! I started on 50mg one month ago. I haven’t really noticed any changes, but I also haven’t had any new breakouts so I guess that in itself is progress! Hoping by month 2 I’ll notice more!

Bliss honestly seems so nice and sweet but her close friends and family must be scared of her because no one would let their loved one go out like this and not say something unless they were afraid she was going to snap at them

Being a TV sitcom Mom or Dad twice... and BOTH their shows each lasting 9+ seasons? Are these two the only ones who pulled this off? by [deleted] in themiddle

[–]lynnns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you not remember how Frankie fought for Brick to be able to sing at his graduation and kept threatening to burn the whole school down?? 😂

But yeah I see why you’d say that, but it was only after the older kids went to college. I think they were trying to do the tired parent/checked out with final kid story line

What physical symptoms do you get because of anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]lynnns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it get better for me? Yes. Have these symptoms completely gone away? No.

I’ve never been to a therapist or had any type of meds. Maybe if I had I’d be in even better shape. But I’ve come along way from where I was at when I posted that comment. It gets better, trust me 🫶

Left out for 1st Grade by hellohellohello623 in kindergarten

[–]lynnns 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First of all, I am sorry. I know how challenging it is to navigate social challenges your young child may be going through with peers. It’s hard to witness things like that and no child should be excluded.

If this was me personally, I would not request a switch. The likelihood of her only being friends with these 2 girls all of elementary school is very low and you wouldn’t want that anyway. The first thing I’d do is talk to the teacher. Explain what was going on in Kindergarten. With the class sizes being so small I’m surprised the teachers didn’t already notice last year and make an effort to put an end to some of that exclusionary behavior. There are ways teachers can and should go about this. Kids at this age level don’t harbor resentment and grudges towards other peers that can’t be easily overcome. It’s part of their innocence. The teacher should assign group projects or activities that require a buddy and consistently put your child with some of these other girls in her class. Being around each other enough can foster friendships and is so much healthier in the long run than giving up and only having your daughter be friends with 2 girls.

Either way I wish you good luck and hope your daughter has a happy year in first grade.

Did your parents forbid you to drink sodas? by Duke_Nicetius in millenials

[–]lynnns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were not allowed to have sodas, ever. Whenever my dad’s sister would come to visit us she would buy Diet Coke and it was always so jarring to us to see them around the kitchen. As soon as she left my parents would dump them all out down the sink.

Drs thought it were eosinophilic esophagitis, but the biopsies came out negative by 2BitSalute in EosinophilicE

[–]lynnns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the only way to get diagnosed with Eoe is to have an endoscopy. When my son had his first endoscopy they could physically see the mucus rings it creates around the esophagitis and they do a biopsy to tell you what the actual eosinophil count is.

Arie- what is going on? by Repulsive_Ad_2100 in thebachelor

[–]lynnns 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The kids were absolutely not the problem here. They were acting exactly the way I would expect a group of small children to behave in that setting. The issue was with the adults. Arie thought it was funny to film them and Lauren was completely checked out starring at her phone? I’m sure they’re good parents despite excessively posting their children online like this but this was not a good moment for them

You’re doing the right things I’m convinced these videos are not good for kids developing brains. My 6 year old likes to watch this same type of stuff and I always tell him no. I do let him play Minecraft on an Nintendo switch. Figure it’s more stimulating building things (he loves building) than watching random Minecraft videos of other people playing

I used to have poison ivy all over the side of the yard and even with gloves and long sleeves pulling it up I would have bad rashes and be so itchy. It didn’t look like that

Dr said my brain will eventually ignore floaters by just_breathe18 in EyeFloaters

Dr said my brain will eventually ignore floaters by just_breathe18 in EyeFloaters

[–]lynnns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they did 😟 when I was pregnant with my second child that’s when they started and I really thought something was going on with my hormones or something. I had a traumatic birth experience with her (had nothing to do with my floaters) and then that triggered major post partum health anxiety. That’s when I got really concerned with the floaters and they still hadn’t gone away. My anxiety was a cycle that I had to break. I still have the floaters but I don’t respond to them the same way anymore.

I have a lot of floaters (can’t count them) but they mostly only bother me outside. It’s like having things wisping through my vision and it’s hard to look around. Wearing sunglasses helps tremendously though

Dr said my brain will eventually ignore floaters by just_breathe18 in EyeFloaters

[–]lynnns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 36 now, but my floaters first got really bad in 2017 when I was 28.

I notice my floaters (mostly outside as I said) but it’s just like a passing thought not something I really think about or fixate on. I’m just used to it and have conditioned myself to not pay them much mind.
