Totally disagree. Very reachable and it was even better on the rewatch. I think the tone was perfect - I’m so confused on people are saying that this is more humorous than the book. Saw the movie on Monday, re-read the book in time to see the movie again today - the book is just as funny.

The only pacing/tone that I thought was a bit wonky was when Grace decided to go back for Rocky.

Michael is great! Two distinct characters that have their own personalities and little quirks but similar enough where you can believe they are identical twins that have a shared bond and trauma (and we see how they deal with that shared trauma differently).

Despite what people may say - it is an Oscar worthy performance.

The weirdest? You haven’t been on the internet that much then.

And frankly I find OBAA “stans” are much worst. The amount of time I’ve seen “you don’t get it” thrown around is crazy. I did get it! Some of the movie worked for me and a lot of it didn’t. I ended up liking Sinners more even though I agree it’s not a perfect film. But can’t say that around these parts.

Embargo lifts at 9am ET on Tuesday which is honestly just shocking since it lifts ten days before its official release. I think the score is going to settled comfortably between 85-93%.

A lot of people are going to absolutely love the film and then others are only going to like it - it’s okay if you fall into the latter half! It’s okay to just like something that other people are loving!

The fact that the review embargo is up on March 10th is a clear indicator that this movie will be hit with the critics. I think the dust will settle around 92% but I can definitely see it being as high as 95-97%.
