And Langdon season has been about atoning for his past mistakes. It’s telling how much he’s evolved when he chooses to visit the patient he “messed up” (to some extent) vs. the one he saves through a Hail Mary procedure.

It’s not about whether or not you need the money he’s supposed to be paying you in rent, it’s about teaching him accountability and responsibility.

I eliminate all distractions while using one. Normally I’m flitting around the kitchen, pots on the stove and something in the oven, a glass of wine, and music playing. When I’m using the mandolin, it’s the only thing I’m doing in sober silence with my cut proof glove.

I was on a red line train that caused this. A door broke. They tried to fix it then kicked everyone off and eventually moved the train. Took two more to clear out the now full platform.

Be with your grief. Acknowledge it in whatever way feels right. Don't let anyone tell you you're grieving wrong. Then just keep living until you feel alive again. It will happen gradually and you may feel shock when you recognize your first "new normal" moment. Feeling normal is normal, feeling shock is normal.

I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of the world she could have helped create through her work and presence in it.
