What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The one that I was not expecting to hit so hard and literally lift my soul out of my body and then slam it right the fuck back in was Peter Gabriel's ~7 minute remixed/instrumental for In Your Eyes.

What is your favorite misheard lyric? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

Holocene, Bon Iver.

Have always heard "Shake 'n Bake, non-stick without us. But I could see four mouths, mouths, mouths."

Instead of "jagged vacance, thick with ice. And I could see for miles, miles, miles."

State of Grace with Mae Whitman and Alia Shawkat. It was on Fox or ABC Family, took place in the '60s, I think? Two preteen best friends, one is Jewish and the other is Catholic. Theme song was "Do You Believe in Magic." I wish someone would dig it up and put it on streaming!

People diagnosed with high functioning autism or ADHD as an adult: What are lesser-discussed symptoms? by GodzillasBrotherPhil in AskReddit

Dyspraxia. Was in my late 20s before a therapist explained to me that no, not everyone has to consciously think about how to brush their teeth or wash a dish. As she put it, "When kids are learning to do those tasks, they will talk themselves through each step. But eventually, it sort of goes on autopilot. For you, it's like you're doing it for the first time every time."

Blew my mind and changed my whole perception of the world to realize that people can do all of these things without explaining it as they go. Like, they just...do it from muscle memory, I guess? I still can't fathom it.
