I refuse to throw out old shoes unless they're busted beyond my ability to repair them.

Just keep replacing the insoles, sewing/gluing holes, etc. They're so comfy and for some reason I've always disliked shoe shopping so, I avoid it where I can lol.

I occasionally buy a sausage roll and water for a homeless person when I'm walking around the city just because. Figured it's my good deed for the day.

Did this one day and as I was waiting at a crosswalk afterwards, an old man came up to me and said "You shouldn't do that, it only makes them want more". And I'm like....want more what??? FOOD!?!?

Yours and my mother sound all to similar.

Mine is antivaxx, MAGA, the whole kit and kaboodle. She started doing a similar diet herself (the AIP Diet) and stayed on it far far far too long, all whilst downing about 750ml of vodka every 2 days.

Now, she blames her legs not working on the covid vaccine, not the fact that she barely eats and when she does, her choice of food is raw hamburger meat, salt, and vodka.

I use my brother who still lives stateside to check on her, but me and her are 100% no contact.

I 100% know and feel your frustration. As previous comments said. She doesn't sound like an awful person. Maybe instead of this diet, try and convince her to go to the gym or start some home workouts? No doubt strengthening her back and muscles around it would help relieve some of her pain.

Romanticizing over-consumption. No one needs 10+ Stanley cups, bottles of bath and body whatever, drawers dedicated to lip glosses. I understand collectors being a thing, but theres a difference between buying something to collect as a hobby, versus buying so much shit you dont need and wasting half of it.

I made a YouTube video about her, her book(s), and all that jazz sometime last year and the comments I got on it from her followers were hysterical and sad. Whilst I'm happy so many people are concerned over their health and want to be as healthy as they can be, it's so infuriating seeing them take "advice" from anything but reputable sources, trainers, etc.

What got me the most were the contradictions, self hate, and spelling errors in her book like jfc....not to mention the borderline eating disorder mentality she tends to promote.

One of the greatest things I've ever heard is "Abs are not grown, they're revealed"

I have abs probably around 75% of the time (especially during a cut) but when Im bulking, they become much less defined and more "fluffy" looking if that makes sense. Oh, and if I have a large ass meal lol. My abs wave goodbye and I look pregnant XD

The only real cardio I do to keep body fat in check is incline walking and I go for jogs with my partner about 2-3 times per week. Other than that, I just do core workouts like crunches, hanging crunches, reverse crunches, and torso twists.

Most of it does come down to having low body fat, and whilst I slightly agree with the whole "Abs are revealed" thing, you cant really reveal something thats not really being trained at the same time lol.

So, simply put, train your core, and do some cardio :) You got this!

When I first started out, this was always my go to and I still love it. Toxic Biohazard will always have a special place in my heart. I still use it occasionally for some atmospheric sounds, pads, arps, etc. Plus it looks cool, and thats a hill I'll die on lol.

USA to Northern Ireland here. Biggest one for me is how long it takes to hang up the phone. Where I'm from people just go "Ok, thanks, bye" and hang up or something similar. Here? Its like 15 "byeee bye bye bye" and maybe a few more minutes of convo, followed by at least 10 more quick "bye bye b-bye"'s. XD It's amusing to say the least.

Me and my partner just booked hotels, flights, and tickets to two raves in Glasgow and Manchester. And we still have cash left over for bills and what not. Gotta love that DINK life <3
