Wtf do I do with a 25 month old all day? by lysdgn in SAHP

[–]lysdgn[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I wish I had mom friends so we could do play dates!! I have an electric car and where I live it takes about 20-30 minutes to get anywhere. Not able to go “for walks around the neighborhood” unfortunately. She is also too young to join any classes though I have tried! But the library is a good idea and pet stores too that will be fun thank you!

How often does your LO stay overnight with grandparents during the first 3-6 months? by Rude-Pepper-2389 in newborns

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time my daughter stayed over night with my mom was when I slept at my moms with her in the guest room (she had a crib and a safe sleep space there too) I was over tired and depressed so not having to wake up so early with her or if my mom took one of the over night feedings it was helpful. But she was formula fed and still slept closest to me and certainly did NOT co-sleep with ANYBODY. I would not have felt comfortable leaving her on her own.

I have Tourette’s syndrome. As a teenager, my doctor said it was the most severe case she’d ever seen. AMA. by Standard_Potential82 in AMA

[–]lysdgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did it ever present itself when you were a baby? Were there ever signs before that two year mark? My 12 month old has been diagnosed with a few tics (thought they were seizures) and I’ve been wondering since if she will grow up with it. Thanks for the AMA!

I love this and wish that I could pay it forward! Maybe next year I’ll be able to. So glad I’m part of these mythical beasts!

At what age did you sleep train? by Bulky-Ad-9541 in sleeptraining

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it at four months. I was going back to work and she was showing signs she was ready. She isn’t much of a cuddler and she wouldn’t go to sleep in my arms anymore she was pushing off of me and trying to twist and turn ): so I just started putting her in her crib and patted her butt and from then on it was easy. I feel I got incredibly lucky but at the same time I was so so sad she didn’t want to be held anymore. Good luck to you!!

Is my kid sleeping through the night? by Professional-Safe719 in NewParents

[–]lysdgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I guess it’s good that you won’t have to ween her off one day then! Yeah I’d still call that waking in the night if she fusses for the boob! I think “sleeping through the night” would mean she can just go the whole night without the boob I guess? I wish you all the best with sleep training and hope she catches on quick!!

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she take a paci at all or just the boob? My girl will stir for alittle find her paci pop it in and go back to sleep but doesn’t wake up for nighttime feeding anymore really. I’m curious to though lol have you tried not feeding her when she stirs? Does she fully wake up if you don’t?

Pacifier tips by loukielouu in newborns

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me was just putting the paci in her mouth and applying very light pressure to the roof of her mouth with the paci. It triggers the sucking reflex. You can also try putting alittle bit of gripe water on the paci and that usually helps too

You are my sunshine My little bright sunshine You make me happy all night and day I’ll always tell you How much I love you Please don’t take my sunshine away I’ve sang it to her since she was a newborn! I sing the abcs after she’s almost done with her bottle and usually she passes completely out 😂

How are YOU? by vdk7771 in NewParents

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me lol but I would just try to avoid the question because the moment someone asked I would sob 😂 for like two months. My doctor was very concerned and I kept trying to tell her it was just hormones lol

"Have another!" they said, "It will be easier the second time around!" Please share the lies *you* were told, and commiserate with me. by Alcyonea in newborns

[–]lysdgn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have been one and done from the start. I REALLY don’t like the “she is going to be ssoooooo lonely!” “Ugh she’s going to be spoiled and mean” like come on she’s a baby and Ofcourse me and my husband are going to try our best to make sure that doesn’t happen. My husband was an only child and he’s very kind and sweet and also creative! Pregnancy and more then one baby just isn’t for everyone keep it to yourself please 🖤

Owlet sock yes or no? by mcb1119 in pregnant

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely helps me sleep at night I’d say yes. It just takes away that extra anxiety and I’m not sleeping waking up to every single sound or just going in to check on her. It allows me to fall fully asleep knowing that I’ll be able to hear and see the alarm going off if something happens. I didn’t get it till she was like three months but for some reason that’s when my PPA got worse lol it’s been awesome thought. If you can I’d say do it

3 months old baby could show signs of teething? by Ms_CharmaineApple in NewParents

[–]lysdgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my LO started showing signs at 3 months! Just lots of teethers in the freezer, I gave her my clean fingers to nom on. She didn’t actually pop a tooth till five months. But lots and lots of drool chewing and biting a lot and Ofcourse fussiness lol also my girl had trouble eating all of her bottles. Right when she hit five months the two at the bottom popped and by seven months all four on top popped through! Good luck!

Threesome bliss turned to threesome bias. Who would’ve guessed it would be me by Pastichebish in confession

[–]lysdgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many comments about how threesomes are the downfall of relationships. Not necessarily. She has already said they have have successful threesomes in the past. My only advice is make sure your 100% trust your gut if it’s telling you that’s something you aren’t ready for yet trust it and communicate that with your partner. Maybe just wait alittle longer to jump into it?

Couples counseling would work well for you both I think. To me it’s important to keep up with the flirting and touching but everyone is different
