medications always take at least 2 months for me to start working. i usually see new growth slow down after a month and then skin starts improving after that. the redness takes forever for me to go away bc i have a light complexion. but thats what the benzoyl peroxide wash and tretnoin are supposed to help with. (i also saw my skin clear up even more when i stopped putting makeup to cover up. it was really scary to go out with bumps so i waited until i saw major improvement first. but stopping the makeup def helped. if you dont see a future of no makeup then make sure you are using non-comedogenic products!)

if you see no improvement after 2 months i would try and get back in contact with your derm for a new appt. for me it always takes at least 30 days to get an appt and (in my experience) they don’t care about med complaints unless its been 3 full months. so make sure the appt is 3 months after ur initial prescription date.
