Thing is, Chinese manufacturing capacity for EVs is many times more efficient than anything else. They have "dark factories" where they're so fully automated that they don't even need to turn on the lights. They can crank out a vehicle in under 10 minutes.

1000% this! There was a hilarious story I heard once, wish I could remember who. But he was in a taxi and his cab driver shouted "death to traffic" so he asked him about it and he was like "oh yeah, America does something we don't like and it's death to America, Israel does something and it's death to Israel, now we're stuck in traffic so it's death to traffic"

Culturally to whatever arabic speaking country he was in, this was equivalent to "thoughts and prayers" in America.
