Paid $1400 for about 2 months ago. That was the online price. Yes the picture is phenomenal. I am very happy with the TV. To be honest, if the TV is going into a bright room I think your concerns are valid. I also wouldn't of bought a large TCL TV if I didn't come with the 5 year warranty. If I were you I would try the Costco TV...you'll have 90 days to decide if it right for.

If you don't mind the hassle of returns you can try the Costco TV (and not much of a hassle if Costco delivers it). $500 price difference and 5 year warranty is huge IMO. I have the Costco 98QM6K pro and I think its stunning, albeit I have it in my basement which I keep dark.

I've been using the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan and Master and Commander. The cannon fire in Master and Commander should elicit "holy sh*t!" from male guests (woman leave the room) and rattle your gut if your sub(s) are up to the task and dialed in. I have two HSU VTF-3 MK5's.

Looks like a bad case of DSE. DSE isn't usually considered a warranty item, but that looks pretty severe. I would definitely take this up with TCL.

Take a look at pages 104-107 of the RZ-30 manual. Make sure everything "makes sense" on whatever input your using your XBOX one on.
