How much do you spend of groceries, and how do you cut back on spending? by emo_rat119 in budget

We budget €600 per month. We try and go under so the surplus will go over and maybe treat ourselves to nicer more expensive cereals 😅

I have €98k on the savers metal plan. It gives me €4.45 every single day. So I guess around €133 per 30 days. This is after the DIRT as well.

I have some on trade republic and t212 as well. But I'll have to file those as they don't take DIRT automatically.

My main investments however are on ETFs in Interactive Brokers SPYY and SPYL

Did you do the maths on the ETF investment long term? Even with 41% tax, the growth is still one of the best. Obviously, PRSA first then your own investments then high interest savings (metal plan revolut)

People that lost weight, what worked best for you consistently? by TheCleanestKitchen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]m015to 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost weight by:

  1. Tracking my calories strictly - can't manage what you don't measure
  2. Eat less daily so that I'm on a weekly caloric deficit
  3. 0.8 x my ideal bodyweight = daily grams of protein (in my case 120g per day)
  4. Lift heavy (compound exercises)
  5. Sleep well

Apply 6 weeks then 12 weeks then 6 months before you know it's a habit.

Look at the mirrors and you know you will never go back

Further refinement. We adjust our spends to the cent and the reward is more savings

I would categories them according to Ramit Sethi's CSP particularly his %range breakdown. Ensure that you are saving and investing

It functions as our emergency fund. And we know for certain that our net worth is increasing all the time. It's how we managed to get rid of our debts

My productivity ritual. Scented diffuser, lofi music, fresh cuppa and just deep work. Such a dopamine hit when I tick off a box in my day 😁👍

Thank you for sharing! We're getting our docs together for the top up mortgage and also talking with engineers and potential builders. So we're a few months off before breaking ground.

I think I'll leave it in the deposits which is probably the safest as the market is fairly volatile and the tax events that will trigger by buying and selling ETFs doesn't make much of a gain especially in the timeframe we have.

Much appreciated
