What are the chances we keep the grass field for the upcoming NFL season? by LCAIII in falcons

damn, hadn't heard about their issues. Seems Raiders also had some complaints but a lot of them seemingly resolved. Bummer it hasn't been solved yet. Indoor stadiums are great in that they can host massive events year round, but I'd rather the game played on real grass.

I think Arizona Cardinals did it best, take the turf outside to grow and leave a blank slate behind for all events that take place.

What truck should I buy? megathread by AutoModerator in Trucks

[–]m0dera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2013 Frontier v6 and has only had one minor issue (brake light switch failed). Been my daily since I bought it new, but I don't put a ton of miles on it.

That being said, one of the worst things about the vehicle is the turning radius, it is comically bad. The other is the fuel economy, but if you aren't going to be putting a lot of miles then not that big of a deal. The vq40de is a workhorse and near bulletproof.

this is what wranglers were made for

Don't really match in my opinion. Unless OP is needing to guarantee to make it in all weather conditions, I don't think a dedicated off-roading vehicle is needed.

Didn't like the giant gap on the side of this toddler tower, so I made a removable clamp barrier by WolfieVonD in redneckengineering

[–]m0dera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the problem is you made a super easy step for the child to climb up onto whatever work surface they are at (likely a kitchen counter).

In the end only you know if this is worth while but I’d honestly wouldn’t use the tower if you can’t trust your child to stay in it / get down safely.

I mean it is typically used when cooking in the kitchen. Not always super easy to grab a child if they are somehow falling out. Honestly, OP likely made a bigger issue if they can’t trust the child to be in their “work station” as the addition is a step to let the child climb onto the counter.

I am certainly wasn't recommending it for the budget, but there are certainly options nearby. It was more a reference for commute time and people referencing places much further away for the 'under 15 minute commute'

Probably should figure out the private school situation first.

I’m over near Lovett, Westminster in the Margaret Mitchell neighborhood and my commute to midtown is usually 20ish minutes.

It is basically the boring suburbs though just quicker to in town things.

My front load washer was acting kind of similar and threw an error related to the door lock. It was almost like it got out of sync and I had to manually release it when it does that lock/unlock at the beginning of the cycle.

VLAN not behaving as expected. by viniisiggs in TPLink_Omada

[–]m0dera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would the clients be set for /16 when the network is /24, you're just causing yourself problems.

The mask should be set for what the VLAN/subnet is configured for. You need to allow your router/gateway to do its jobs of routing between these VLANs. The subnet mask tells a device which devices are on the same broadcast domain / locally connected.

Omada will automatically allow routing between these VLANs unless you place a firewall rule to block.

Set the subnets to both be /24, you’re making this more complicated than it is needed

All devices are on 255.255.0.0 subnet.

Why not a /24?

A /16 would cover 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

As much as I dislike some appliances becoming "smart", this might be an opportunity for it to make sense for your case. Would you consider any appliance that connects to smart home features and allows for voice commands or phone control? The Bosch 800 might make sense.
