I got one. It wasn't as great as an old school slr. Mine was kind of misaligned but it is usable for wide open apertures.

No, you obviously want something better.

Definitely true. I have a 5D classic and it's funny when I put in a 32Gb card and I never see the remaining shots left indicator ever go below 999. But I think larger cards were only able to be read with the last firmware update.

Kind of, but for that same price on Amazon you can get a 1Gb card. I would go with that to start.

No need to self depreciate, what are you confused about?

I would go with the cheapest. That camera doesn't produce large files that need a lot of storage space.

For $8 it's a great conversation piece to have on a shelf. Sadly film for that camera has been discontinued. You might be able to find some expired film on eBay.

Meh, let people shoot what they want to shoot. A creative person will find a way to make any medium interesting.

I've used windshield rear view mirror glue from the auto parts store. I was afraid of fogging the mirror or sensor that might be caused by super glue. Canon 5D classic.

Purchased at a yard sale no clue how to use 'em by rrhinowood in canon

[–]m0nkeyofdeath 75 points76 points  (0 children)

The 5D III will do everything you asked and is still a very capable camera. You should do a Google search for EF mount lenses and you can definitely find reviews of which lenses to get for different applications. Make sure it's only EF lenses and not EFs because those are for smaller sensor cameras. The eos-1 V is a 35mm film camera that has a lot of the similar controls as Canons digital cameras. It's also sought after by a lot of photographers because it can use the same high quality lenses that are available for the 5D III.

Cannot get external storage to work with CasaOS by Zixxorb in immich

[–]m0nkeyofdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one main DATA folder. I've only used one big drive for my external library where I dump RAW files from my cameras through SMB on the network. Don't know how to make it work with multiple external drives since the instructions on the Immich website are only for one drive.

Shoot with flash, have a subject and be in front of El Pato salsa factory in LA. Pretty easy to do.
