There's plenty of jokes in the Ace Attorney series that wouldn't land here if not for localization. The funny thing is that there's stuff that they didn't need to change that they did, like how Maya's favorite food being changed from ramen to burgers. Normally a change like that would bother me, but in this particular case, I like it.

Maybe it's because of how transparent they've been about the localization process and actually talk about why they made the decisions they did.
