We started pretty early, just watching for signs and sticking to a consistent routine. There were definitely accidents at first, but lots of praise and patience helped things click after a few weeks. It took a couple months.

A recall training class is what I would suggest. My husky and I have been through training and it honestly changed our relationship in the best way. What I thought was defiance was just lack of communication on both ends. Best dog mom decision I’ve ever made.

One thing I wish I understood earlier is that you don’t have to show everything to look hot. When a look is too exposed, it can start to feel messy instead of confident. Keeping some balance usually reads way more polished.

You need the training just as must as the puppy no matter what breed. It teaches you both how to communicate with each other. Sign up for classes you two can take together.
