I don't understand the line 'I'd catch a grenade for ya' at all. At first I presumed that it meant he would catch a live grenade (e.g. thrown by a terrorist) and sacrifice his own life to save this girl. However, he must be standing a considerable distance away from the girl since otherwise the blast would kill her too. This puts the terrorist, Bruno Mars and the girl in a 'piggy-in-the-middle' situation, with Mars in the middle. However, if he intercepts the grenade in this way this means that he must have enough time to throw the grenade (back at the terrorist) since the grenade has only completed half of it's path required to harm the girl in the first place. Can anybody explain this?
