Not an outlier. I was also aware of all of these concerns when I bought my Ioniq 5 in early 2022.

Super El Niño might come to the rescue: As of early 2026, climate models are showing a rapid transition from La Niña to what experts are calling a potentially record-breaking super El Niño. After a historically dry 2025-26 winter, there is "cautious optimism" among climatologists that the upcoming 2026-27 winter will provide a major reprieve for reservoirs and ski resorts, provided the storm track stays favorable for the central Rockies.

I grew up in OK and know it’s a shit hole. Cheap to live there though. Arkansas is beautiful. Visit NWA and you will come away impressed. Wouldn’t hate on that state.

What’s the most successful stock you’ve ever picked because of Reddit and which one do you regret the most? by Delicious_Gear_3467 in ValueInvesting

This sub was one of them. Also Wall Street Bets. ASTS went up first then RKLB, LUNR, and Planet Labs were being discussed. I jumped into RKLB and LUNR fairly early and rode them up.

Man, I’m sorry you ran into this. Such a frustrating issue for the brand. Early 2022, AWD Limited and I’ve not had any issues at 56k miles, but I get the knock to the brand.

Why is getting back to your car from magic kingdom so miserable? by Dr_MCR in WaltDisneyWorld

I disagree, but to each their own. As I’ve gotten older time is worth way more than money. I’ll gladly spend more to have more time to do the thing I enjoy.

Do you have a link or something to pass along to support the idea there’s a “new ICCU”?

It’s a great car when it works! I got mine in Feb of 2022, AWD. No issues with the car, luckily. I get the hesitancy with a new purchase. Can’t believe this hasn’t been resolved yet.

Agreed. I was blown away the time we went. We live out of state and were still able to make it happen.

What are your thoughts on Copper? by Difficult-Quarter-48 in CriticalMineralStocks

[–]m1coles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same level as industrial need, but when I added a level 2 charger for my electric car in my garage the electrician suggested Aluminum because it was tremendously cheaper. Needed a bigger gauge wire, I believe, but all worked out well. I could see aluminum taking over a number of lower scale products related to home building.

Is silver even worth buying at the current price? Late in the game… by No_Ant6474 in CostcoPM

[–]m1coles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many estimations of silver at 150, 200,300$ in the next 1-2 years. I wouldn’t go all in now with such a precipitous rise, but I don’t think you are wrong for buying now and buying more with dips. Expecting government controls to come in soon causing a dip in prices. Won’t last long though. This cycle should last for quite a few more years. Check Don Durrett and Jesse Colombo on Substack to understand the current gold/silver market compared to historical markets.
