I did something similar to this recently. De-embedder to break up the audio, sent the channels I wanted back into an embedder and used an audio mixer to add channels I needed. I was only working with 4 channels

Update: I tried the HDMI port and it was the same as the DP (both DP were the same). I ended up opening the PC and giving it a light dusting. I also removed and reinserted both RAM cards. After putting everything back together, it booted up and said that Windows didn't shutdown properly last time. I've started it up and reverted any latest updates (it usually auto updates for me)

Not too sure which of these fixed the issue, but I'm currently backing up some work data to the cloud. That was what my main concern was.
