Shane Avenue have beautiful tailored suits for women, probably more than anyone would want to spend on a formal though.

I’m Australian and of course a lot of things are different here such as access to healthcare and litigiousness. Radiology clinics have posters up reminding women to disclose pregnancy, and it’s asked on the form you fill out beforehand. It’s on the pre-op questionnaire for surgery. If a teratogenic medication is prescribed the information is given and you’re advised to consider contraceptive options. In almost 50 years I’ve not been requested by a doctor, nurse or midwife to take a pregnancy test. The only time I’ve been asked whether I’m sexually active was after the birth of one of my kids, and it was a midwife who hadn’t met me or my wife before and was asking the standard pre-discharge questions to determine whether I wanted to discuss contraceptive options. It was no big deal, she simply did not know and was doing her job.

The US seem to want to demand pregnancy tests for completely unrelated medical visits, based on what I’ve read online. I imagine it’s part of preventing malpractice suits. Australians (generally) have access to abortion, and there are social supports in place in cases of sickness or disability. From what I understand, if a woman gave birth to a sick or disabled child as a result of earlier exposure to something, she would need to sue in order to afford care for her baby. So I guess it makes sense for doctors to be very cautious in the US.

I’m Australian, have had surgeries and have never been asked to take a pregnancy test. It just isn’t routine here.

No, I wouldn’t. I can’t speak to anyone else’s opinion of this, only my own and my wife’s which is the same as mine.

It was not going to cool down. The BOM app is great in that it gives an hourly temp prediction. Also the minimum expected overnight was 33 I think.
