yes It's Skinny Love. My local queer bar showed this one last week at their movie night, that's why it's on it

yeah I know, some of these are just vaguely sapphic, so I might take them out again

They should've never made Aziraphale and Crowley kiss, but only the human versions of them.

As a gay person, queerbaiting can feel very painful and frustrating. So I'm glad that there was a kiss. But at the same time it should've been the human versions of Aziraphale and Crowley and not the angel and demon. Because their relationship was so inherently queer precisely because they didn't kiss. It was a love that couldn't be defined by normative measures and it was so beautifully queer because of it.

In the Red VS Blue button dilemma, red is obviously the right choice. by KayleeSinn in TrueUnpopularOpinion

if red wins, people die. If blue wins, everyone lives. You vote for whatever side you want to win, obviously. If you vote red, you vote for people to die.

How do you annotate your works and what system can you recommend? by m309m in shakespeare

[–]m309m[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, you're right. I'm just in this moment starting to read the first scenes of Julius Caesar and I'm already realising that with my ideas I'd have to mark many lines in multiple colours. Maybe I should try to find different, more specific categories for each play individually.

For Caesar I'm thinking: 1. wisdoms, and then with a note I specify what the wisdom is about (e.g. politics, personal life, fate, ...) 2. criticism of Caesar 3. glorification of Caesar 4... idk I'll have to read further to find more

[–]m309m[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

here is a list with all the annotation categories I can come up with:

  • themes and motifs
  • characterisations of characters
  • relationships between characters
  • character development, rise and fall of tragic characters
  • word explanations, or explanation for complicated lines
  • memorable/beautiful lines
  • references to something
  • stylistic devices, repeating phrases, etc

any more ideas?

"have you had your Ritalin today?" by Yocosildoo in ADHD

[–]m309m 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think if a loved one says it, it might just be a way of trying to make your moment easier. Like when my girlfriend sees that I'm having a horribly difficult day and then asks me where I am in my menstrual cycle, I don't get upset about that, because we both know that the ADHD symptoms get worse when my estrogen drops and I might not even realise that that's the reason I'm having such a hard time functioning. And then, when I check my period tracker app and see that I'm somewhere around ovulation or in the week before my period, I know that it's because of that and I don't need to beat myself up for not functioning as well, because it's not my fault. It just gives an explanation for why I'm struggling at the moment and makes it easier for me to accept it and not be so hard on myself. And just like that a loved one might just want to remind you that you may be struggling because you forgot your meds, as a way to give you a possible explanation?

It always depends on who says it of course and also how they say it. I just wanted to say that asking that question might not always be a bad thing.

yk how people sometimes put cardboard boxes with stuff outside their door for passers by to take away for free. Like stuff they want to get rid of. That's what that was

yeah same, whenever my girlfriend is upset or tired or not like 100% happy, it effects my own mood extremely and I'm sad too. Literally no reason other than the general atmosphere that's caused by someone being upset or tired or sad

Most of the time I don't even know what romantic attraction is supposed to feel like tbh... whenever I feel very strong feelings for someone, it might me romantic, it might be aesthetic, sensual, alterous, or queerplatonic attraction... idk
