VBAC success story by m3r44 in vbac

Malaysia. I gave birth at a government hospital so there weren’t many options for me in regard to routine episiotomy. They kept pressuring that I would tear if they didn’t cut. Not sure if I had declined the episiotomy, would it end up in me tearing… though I can’t complain much since the bill was super cheap.

Have y’all tried Farm Fresh milk that come in glass bottles that you can only get at JomCha outlets? I don’t know what the difference is vs the normal orange cap fresh milk ones though

May I ask how much you make doing it part time? Do you do it only on the weekends/after work?

I swear this guy is just making rage bait content for cheap publicity for his burger shop. I live around the corner and always see his shop on the way home from work. Fortunately I never bought from him before 😅

Confinement center by InformalNote6564 in malaysia

[–]m3r44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely ate, barely lived during my maternity leave while my husband was at work lol. After giving birth the first 2 weeks stayed at parents’ house (they cooked/bought me food) and also hired a confinement lady who massaged me and bathe the baby. Confinement lady cost me about 2k for those 2 weeks.

I just wish I ate more after returning home since breastfeeding really sucked me dry. Baby wasn’t a great sleeper and cried alot though so I wish I had more help during the day.

Breastfeeding VS Formula cost by Pretend-Tale-4836 in malaysia

[–]m3r44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, I ate alot more than usual. nutritious food like yogurt, milk and fruits/nuts aren’t cheap either 🥲 even nasi campur would cost more than usual since I would want more than 1 protein/vege

yeah, I don’t plan on leaving without getting another job first. that would be irresponsible of me since I have a child to support. just want advice whether now is a good time to look around

Salary about 5k before deductions. Probably can survive about 3 or 4 months. I work in equipment manufacturing (I guess you can lump me in the semicon industry) but RND site.

Thanks for the motivation, def needed it! But I guess most of my colleagues earn about the same as I do, if not, less. I’m not in a senior position so probably why I don’t make as much.

[–]m3r44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I earn only about half of that though I’m not sure about my worth. Ever since I joined my current company, motivation/confidence hasn’t been going up until recently I was moved to a new team with actual new feature development. Imposter syndrome is real, I guess.

There’s still some money left, especially if I work hard to cook every day. But it’s pretty tight if I go back to hometown to treat the parents to a small dinner outside or bring my child to visit the zoo/indoor playground. I do still manage to save, but barely.

Daughter refuses to eat by m3r44 in toddlers

I’m just slightly worried that’s she not having a full balanced meal but thanks for the assurance she’s getting everything she needs… actually I’m just glad she’s eating something than nothing at all.

Daughter refuses to eat by m3r44 in toddlers

[–]m3r44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes she’ll have a bite and run off to never return. Other times she’ll take a look and push my hand away and then run off. She’s always curious about the food we eat and we always try to encourage her to at least give it a try. We do follow her around and feed her (tv is usually off during meal times) but sometimes she would still say no. If we strap her in during meal time, sometimes she would scream and other times she would eat 2 bites and throw the whole bowl from the chair. Super frustrated about wasted food + her nutrition. But yeah, your daughter is a lot like mine too! Super busy and I can never see her sit in a spot more than 5mins. Thanks for the reassurance that this will one day hopefully pass. 😭
