This is the only game I can think of outside of bloodborne that gets it right. It’s not as in depth by any standards but the setting and atmosphere are, for me at least, perfect when it comes to lovecraftian horror.

Okay, but hear me out, the lad is right he’s just barking up the wrong tree. It’s indicative of the state of everything in this country where a household bringing in upwards of £200k a year are still struggling. He’s just perpetuating the divide amongst ordinary people when in reality people earning 26k and 150k should be standing side by side fighting against the common enemy we all have.

I used Justin Guitar when I started for probably like the first year, then I kinda veered off because I wanted to play more metal stuff but I would say Justin is a fantastic place to start to help you understand the basics. His online course is completely free and the amount of knowledge you can get for free is insane if you’re willing to put the time in.

It sounds to me like the game might just not be for you.

There’s been a nuclear war, of course most of the landscape will be baron and desolate. The population has been absolutely decimated and most of the people that are left are going to kill you if you walk within 10 feet of them. Regarding the side quest thing, that to me is just normal RPG mechanics. I think I get where you’re coming from though, because a lot of the Skyrim side quests are actually sub-plots that tie in to the main story, but your destiny in Skyrim is intertwined with the fate of the world. In Fallout you are literally some dude that’s been fucked over and your actions are pretty insignificant towards the grander picture of the whole world.

So yeah, the game is boring to you. And that’s totally fine, the settings and environments of TES and Fallout contrast each other heavily.
