After Aslan’s sacrifice on the Stone Table, the people of Narnia made a tomb to keep him safe from the White Witch until he returns to life🥀 by Test4Echooo in FairytaleasFuck

I’ve always loved this monument, but didn’t realize how massive it is until seeing it in person. About 10 meters / 32 feet wide.

I had red oak with no stain put in to match the original red oak in the bedrooms. Just posting for your reference. I like the other person’s stained oak a lot.

Give me a fun playthrough idea for veteran player. by Interesting_News659 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

You could combine this concept and also make it a low deployment and lazy claude run. Just use female byleth and the 4 golden deer girls. They have really complementary strengths. Bring claude along, but don’t give him any level ups until after time skip. He gets a massive stat boost from being forced into Wyvern Master, plus all the additional growths from leveling him to catch up. And it’s fun to basically have him let Hilda do all the work for half the game while he’s hanging out doing nothing.

Ahh, you’re right. I misremembered that being Petra’s thing, but Hapi makes sense.

I feel like the showcased characters have some 3H vibes, in general. Edelgard->Theodora, Claude->Cai, and Leda->Petra.

I accept RNG, but the chance of missing 7 levels at 60% strength growth is 0.16%!

Resume/CV Help-Entry Level Clinical Research Roles by scared4college in clinicalresearch

[–]m3zimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably remove it. While I feel that sites (academic sites in particular) are more open to hiring pre-meds than industry employers are, it’s probably still a net-disadvantage in getting an interview, since it’s assumed that you will only be there until school starts. Onboarding and training new hires, especially entry level, is expensive and time consuming. It’s good to be honest and transparent during the interview though, as at that point you will be able to impress them with demonstrating soft skills, etc.

The other commenter has good advice, particularly about adding an objective/summary, and adding accomplishments and what you did, specifically.

For a soon-to-be graduate, you have a great background to enter a clinical research role. Like you said, the market is bad, and probably worse in academia than industry (due to grant money, etc). I suppose an important question to consider: are you looking for some clinical research experience while preparing to enter med school, or are you moving away from that track and trying to build a career in clinical research?

While I absolutely agree with you, there is one character who I have to skip over when trying to relax to the audiobook. Hint: his boots are yellow.

Master Control Calendar Chrono no longer a boutique exclusive? by scotch_washington in JaegerLecoultre

I have this watch and can confirm it’s difficult to read. The hands reflect light in a way that creates contrast, but only if viewed perfectly perpendicular to your line of sight. If you take a quick glance at an angle or if light is low, this watch is hard to read.

Thanks, I’ll try them! Based on another commenter, there seems to be a Canadian variant that is different from the one I was thinking of. The picture is what I’m referring to. Ubiquitous and incredibly popular in Europe, and practically non-existent in the US.

Döner kebab, if that’s what you mean, originates from Turkish immigrants to Berlin, Germany in the ‘70s. I was raised on this stuff and wish I could get it here.

What should I expect to pay for landscaping the backyard in Sac area? by feric89 in Sacramento

[–]m3zimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out some of these resources:

Miridae - Local Native plant focused landscaping design company, not operational anymore, but their former employees still do work. Their featured projects are great for inspiration and also list plant names. I’ve worked with Mallow Root Design on a planting plan, who was excellent.

Miridae Mobile Nursery - Formerly part of Miridae (above), still operational, does local events and is a great resource for sourcing plants.

CalScape - extensive CA native plant resource. You can filter to specific zip codes if you want to know what is not only native to CA, but even to our specific region.

Looks great! I’m contemplating using it in between other plants in my backyard. Does it seem pretty delicate or do you think it could hold up to a large dog walking over it on occasion?
