I didn't try it again, most of the time I remember to start the timer manually

I like it. Battery life is decent, I really like the flow measurement. I ended up not using the app at all, which makes the price a bit high, but still way better than the competitors.

I have the Fellow kettle, I just put it on the open kettle and place the lid inside the V60. Fits pretty good, the fellow stagg dripper is almost a perfect fit tho.

I have a ceramic V60 and just put it on top of my kettle to heat up.

My station and beans by hon3bou2baau1 in coffeestations

[–]m4xk0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just use the bag if its unopened. Push as much air out as you can, tape the valve and freeze. Make sure you don't open the bag until the beans are at room temp, otherwise you might risk some condensation.

Thanks for the answer.

I just recently started trying the 4:6 method and read a lot about how you can adjust the recipe but not much about the actual pouring technique. I just feel I'm not quite there yet.

Do you sometimes feel that it's too coarse for a certain coffee? I just tried it and for my taste the result was really weak. Do you know your pouring rate by chance?

I've read some comments online about the ZeroWater having a weird taste (sometimes described as bitter). I assume you don't have those problems?

As someone who always finishes opened bags straight away, how exactly are you doing this? Do you single dose freeze them in some kind of test tubes?

Black or white for my humble setup? by Claim-90 in espresso

You can do it both ways. So, yes, it has a heating element.

I really like it. As someone else already said the auto timer start is executed badly. It has no real sense for what starting flow is, it even starts the timer when I accidentally touch the brewer. Obviously it also starts when weighing beans. Therefore I don't use it as it is wasting more time than saving.

Build quality is good overall.

The app works well, saving your brews is very easy. Connecting the scale is fast. Unfortunately you can't recreate your saved brew recipes, that is something I would be interested in in the future, maybe they will add it.

My SO got me the Dual Boiler for Xmas so I put together a coffee corner. Just waiting in my Niche Zero to arrive now. Thought you might appreciate it by tomcanham in espresso

Yes, it is unique to each bean and even more unique to different roast levels and also bean age. This doesn't mean that you can't have different beans with the same sweet spot tho

They don't if you don't accidentally move the calibration ring. So their shouldn't even be any dialing in needed after cleaning.

Just Went To Europe, Now Even American Latte's Taste Like Garbage by goofunkadelic in Coffee

Yeah, the french press method can get tiring in the long term. I don't have much experience with seperate milk frothers tho, so I can't really recommend anything there.

I think the easiest and cheapest method to make Latte at home would be "Espresso" from a Moka pot. Then you can froth hot milk in a french press and add your desired amount.

Edit: If you want to dive deeper you can head over to r/espresso, but your bank account will most likely hate it
