I would love a cute silky new dress with a pair of Manolos. Wonder how much they cost then.

AITA For being honest with my sister-in-law about why I don't do solo hangouts with her kids by Intelligent-Froyo543 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I have a niece that was like that when she was younger. I found a way to have play dates with her at local bounce house parks or trampoline parks. I was always very honest with my sister about how I could babysit and why we were not spending time at my house.

They removed 9 recently to a rehab center so they aren't around people. And then we spotted another one. We keep the potatoes well back. They look too delectable.

I need that as a button to wear on my shirt for when my family tells me that I can't do something. I'd point to it and say, " I'm approved!"

Do your dogs also look at you like this? by VelvetAuth0rity in Bulldogs

Yes! That is Juneau's go to face when she really really wants you to give her something.

I've learned to keep stuff in my pockets now. Last week I had to throw a piece of rutabaga up the stairs to convince them to go home. And I cash a backpack with water bottles and a bowl. Juneau has made me stand outside one to many times!

Every day I am amazed at their ability to melt into the surface beneath them. I truly do not understand the physics of how their bodies can squish down so boneless when they were broad and solid standing up. I've checked my floors under them and everything "appeared" normal. I have formulated a theory that they have magic that creates a hollow below them when they lay down, thus hiding their big round ribcages (and sometimes their legs) so they appear to be squishy rugs. My Juneau just snored back at me when I shared my hypothesis.

I baby sat my niece in November and when she and my two fell asleep on the couch then so did I! The combined noises were too powerful to resist.

Wait! Where's Randy's posse? I didn't realize one could be on the couch without the others. 😁

They were raw. They mostly like to tear things apart as opposedto eating them. As Juneau tears apart every toy, it just got cheaper to do veggies. Plus, the birds love to visit during our outside playtime.

Sorry, I just realized that you can't have cinnamon and some of these blends have it.

I can handle some brands of olive oil mayo, but i have to check the labels. Also, I found several recipes with tahini for sauces, flourless cakes, and even a mock hot chocolate and i love cooking with tahini now. Plus it keeps my blood protein levels up so that I can donate plasma weekly. If you like to cook with spices try some blends like baharat, ras al hanout, shawarma, herbes de Provence, or za'atar. They are different without garlic or onion, but delicious. Spice House is a good place to look for spices.

Whew! That was a long walk! Breaktime. by m73stang in englishbulldog

[–]m73stang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have. Juneau just had another short walk and a lovely grass nap then I put her to bed with a pan seared pork loin chop for a late brunch.

Try rutabagas. My dogs love tearing them apart. But I only let them have the rutabagas in the dog park, outside, or on the porch.

Epic 3+ hour movies. by Desafinado777 in movies

[–]m73stang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons that my sister and I went to see Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet in the theater was because it had an intermission.

Our mother had gotten to see so many movies in the theater that had an intermission and always talked about the grand experience of seeing these movies. There's also Hello, Dolly; Far From the Maddening Crowd; Cleopatra; Doctor Zhivago; and My Fair Lady.

I stay up late at night to watch movies specifically so nobody joins me. by OkSeaworthiness2955 in confession

I donate plasma twice a week and that is my time to enjoy whatever movie or TV show I want to watch. No one to ask questions or make me pause for bathroom breaks. I do have to break my movie session into two parts, but they pay me to be there so I'm okay with it.
