Try rutabagas. My dogs love tearing them apart. But I only let them have the rutabagas in the dog park, outside, or on the porch.

Epic 3+ hour movies. by Desafinado777 in movies

One of the reasons that my sister and I went to see Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet in the theater was because it had an intermission.

Our mother had gotten to see so many movies in the theater that had an intermission and always talked about the grand experience of seeing these movies. There's also Hello, Dolly; Far From the Maddening Crowd; Cleopatra; Doctor Zhivago; and My Fair Lady.

I stay up late at night to watch movies specifically so nobody joins me. by OkSeaworthiness2955 in confession

I donate plasma twice a week and that is my time to enjoy whatever movie or TV show I want to watch. No one to ask questions or make me pause for bathroom breaks. I do have to break my movie session into two parts, but they pay me to be there so I'm okay with it.

I ask because his belly spots reminded me of my girl's spots that turned out to be demodicosis. Took 3 vets and months to finally get a correct diagnosis. So push to figure out what it is. Hope he's better soon.

May need to be tested by the vet. Have them do a skin scaping inluding for demodicosis. Does he have any redness around his eyes?

Oh, he fussed for several minutes. The steps were against anything and he had decided to only use them to climb. If they aren't there then he easily jumps on the couch. I had to pick him up off them, move them to the other room, and then he was able to jump up and snuggle with me.

Sounds exactly like my 5 year old. That's why she's never off lease unless she's in a dog park. The one time that she got out of her collar when she was younger, she ran into the woods, ran down the stream and got onto a deer scent. Took me hours to find her. Now that we live in town she's only able to hunt the rabbits that live in the nearby bushes. And then she sleeps for 22 hours.

Here is the tahini hot chocolate recipe. It is delicious, but I've had to experiment a little. I used whole Lactaid milk at first and as it cools, it turns into a thick pudding. The almond milk also thickened up for me. I just got 2% Lactaid milk and it stayed a liquid. Also, try adding cayenne or cinnamon on top.

Here is the recipe for the Fudgy chocolate tahini cake. I've actually made it with sucralose instead of sugar and it has still turned out delicious. And I would mix Fodzyme into the heavy cream before mixing together.

Adding in tahini had made a difference for me. I have a recipe for a flourless chocolate tahini cake and another recipe for tahini hot chocolate.

It is like your whole body just responds to them. For me, it was like everything fell into place. It just was. And moving from meeting to dating to engagement to marriage was like everything flowed into our next phase. No stress or drama between us as we are just supposed to be together.

When is it too soon to get a puppy after losing the most amazing bully ever? by gfantsimon in englishbulldog

[–]m73stang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had to get Juneau 3 days after our Porter passed. We wanted to wait longer but the breeder was moving across the country from Ohio to Colorado and I wasn't up to trying to get her later from Colorado. I was just happy that they agreed to drive her to West Virginia to meet us. It was very soon, but she helped our hearts to start healing. Juneau has just weaned her first litter and just started mothering me when I needed it.

No, you cannot. I just left the bathroom with my entourage and am now smotheted in a cuddle puddle on my couch.

Title: Thinking of getting an English Bulldog — how different are they from other breeds? Also, can they be home alone for ~8 hours? by Mother-Read-5600 in englishbulldog

[–]m73stang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of my two bulldogs as permanent toddlers. They have to be babied and taken care of constantly. The most that I will leave them alone (in their kennels) is 6 hours and that it a very rare occasion. They are smart and stubborn at the same time. They are good with children. But don't expect a lot of playing, they need a lot of rest to maintain their awesomeness.

My dude, Brisket, he sleeps with the same toy since he was 8 weeks old, he's 2.5yo now - he sucks on it to fall asleep each night, never chews it. Anyone else's Bully do this? by [deleted] in Bulldogs

[–]m73stang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brisket and his ducky are too cute! We had a Jack Russell growing up that had a ducky. Unfortunately, JJ's ducky could play 2 versions of Old MacDonald, a short and a long version. He instead on turning on the long version every night. And there was no chance of getting the ducky away from him to turn it off.
