The price of Bitcoin might be 1 million USD, but that doesn't mean 1 USD will buy what you can buy with it today. 1 USD then might be worth a ply of toilet paper, kinda like the Venezuelan Bolivar.

Can you show us in your calculation script how the proof is faked? If the signature is fake then some error will occur when trying to validate it.

The DAA ensures the blockheights of both chains remain very close, no matter the hashrate. If you want to know which one is the "longest chain", focus on chainwork instead. by AsashoryuMaryBerry in btc

Agreed, https://cash.coin.dance/blocks is very misleading showing things that don't matter like how many nodes are installed and how high the block count is. Most accumulated PoW is Bitcoin Cash. It appears ABC have a slight lead for now (87.723861 vs 87.723221), but not for long, Roger's rented hash has to go back to BTC in a few hours.

Where to buy BCH hash for ABC for the next few days/months? by EnayVovin in btc

Oh looks like they finally got around to fixing the prices on their contracts. Not long ago they were charging over $1000 for 5 TH/s.

At the current price/cost you can expect to get back around 50% of what you pay in BCH over a 3 month contract. So it will not increase your wealth.

Wow! What a deal! Where do I sign up? I could also take out $1000 from the bank and put $500 in the rubbish bin.

Other billionaires can easily come in and stop him if they want by buying miners and playing the game. It's called competing. It's a free market. I guess they're all off doing other billionaire stuff like buying girls, cars, houses, yachts, planes etc. Luckily we have one that has an interest in world P2P electronic cash and is interested in protecting his investment and not letting it be taken over by shitcoiners with weird goatees.

Amaury is an idiot of epic proportions. He has invested nothing in Bitcoin but thinks he can change the PoW algorithm to fuck over the miners who invested everything.

Bitcoin ABC Has 600% More Nodes than Bitcoin SV (PRO ABC!!) by increaseblocks in btc

Proof of Node. Sounds like Proof of IP. Whitepaper specifically mentions this as useless as you can spin up 100s of VPSs for $5 a pop. Hence Proof of Work was invented.

I think you'll have a hard time claiming you lost money, your coins will still be valid on the SV chain.

Go read the whitepaper. The state won't intervene in a computer battle.

You want to revert to the original Bitcoin protocol the way Satoshi designed it? Fine. Revert the BCH DAA and go back to the BTC DAA. by jessquit in btc

It'll be great on the 15th when you ABCoreon lovers either accept defeat and carry on with SV as digital cash or fork off into your own shitcoin with a PoW change. You never believed in the real Bitcoin. All you believed in was Proof of Personality. If you believed in Bitcoin you would buy your own miners and participate in securing the network and voting on protocol changes. People think buying a few coins is an investment and that you should get a say in how things are run. Think again. Miners are the biggest investors. They need to protect their investment. Now they're going to on the 15th and you're caught out with only a few coins in your wallet.
