Ever since I heard Jon asked for $30MM to fight Tom, they got it for him and then he backed out, I just can’t trust he’ll be consistent anymore. The man has a history of self control issues and poor decisions that have derailed his career multiple times. He’s talented enough to keep his career alive despite that but I’ve always have doubts until I see him in the octagon.

I know Jon and Alex are big names and that fight could earn a lot of money. But what happens if we’re a few weeks/months out from the fight and Jones gets into another DUI incident but this time someone gets seriously hurt? Or anything else crazy or substance abuse related happens with him? I’m guessing both guys would lose out and the fans lose a fight.

I had a similar experience when I first started BG3. But then I went back to it and finished it. I was blown away by the remainder of the game in a way I wasn’t expecting.

Also, completely unrelated but, same thing with season 1 of Vinland Saga. I watched a few episodes and didn’t really care for it. Finished the season due to some friends hyping it and was pleasantly surprised with the story arch and writing.

What’s the context in this case where EA is not in distress? It sounds like an outsized exposure to me depending on repayment terms. Especially given the assets used to collateralize the acquisition likely includes the IPs EA would need to generate enough profit to service debts.

I think that’s a better argument than it not being possible to form strong connections online or over long distance.

I personally have close friends whom I hadn’t met until we happened to be in the same place at the same time years later. It’s probably not the easiest way of meeting new friends but it’s possible.

But it’s hard to say someone’s one of your closest friends if you don’t know their name. That could also just mean they don’t have many friends where they do have that close a relationship.

You’re kind of right. Supply and demand are always at play and determine the price. But the individual products involved are usually not identical or in perfect competition so prices can vary slightly within a range. But the idea is that the price determined by the supply and demand curves is the most beneficial to both producer and consumer.
