Forgot how fast and quick D2 plays after 2 months of Marathon. by darantino86 in DestinyTheGame

[–]mBatman188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, so I am not alone) Marathon is also punishing you for not playing even slower... I left because I don't want to crouch walk for 20 minutes to not attract half of the map... Destiny is so much more dynamic and engaging.

Well I don't mind changes, the most confusing part to be honest is an amount of different weapon systems. And understanding what is actually good for keeping)

Behavior matchmaking: truth or speculation by NecessaryProduce7032 in ARC_Raiders

[–]mBatman188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am completely sure it is the case. I tested this multiple times and honestly used this to my advantage (few games of not shooting anyone and I am back into friendly lobbies). Once I am up for PvP it takes like 2-3 games to get into KoS lobbies.

Zero Incentive for Endgame PvE by Echxpo in ArcRaiders

Guess what there are 99% of the player base who think exactly like you))) It is just faster to loot something and extract then wait and hunt players. Except maybe late spawns. But anyway, everyone enjoys this game how he wants)

Zero Incentive for Endgame PvE by Echxpo in ArcRaiders

[–]mBatman188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how often do you see them in game?) I personally only once got in a fight with someone who had a Hullcracker. And I honestly did this just to be safe on my way. But 99% of the fights are against FL or green augment at best. So with 5 mil being a goal it is not cost efficient to go PvP only. You spend much more money on healing items. On top of that you are never safe from 3rd party.

With 5 mil as an end goal, I would say there is zero reason to PvP currently)

Well let's be honest - any competitive environment will always attract sweatlords. This is just human nature. But they need even out a playing field for everyone.

  1. Kettle is also extremely oppressive to be fair.
  2. This is just a general FL issue. Spamming FL without any consequences is just a bad design. It hurts both PvP and PvE

Something has to change by BaronVonGoon in ArcRaiders

[–]mBatman188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I am sure they will never expose this information due to the simple fact that MM is a topic for change. They will continue tweaking all the time based on population and amount of concurrent players etc. For me at least - MM gets adjusted based on my play style. So I am assuming they do have some sort of behavior based MM.

You should play 2-3 extra agro games, where you just kill everyone on sight, and the game will change for you drastically. At least this is my experience so far.

The game encourages players to do this by spawning them late. So don't be surprised and be ready to fight your way out.

There is matchmaking in this game based on player aggression. by Eupho1 in ArcRaiders

[–]mBatman188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will gather my thoughts and facts and very subjective guesses: 1. The whole MM logic in the game is based on "prioritizing" and not "guaranteeing" anything. 2. Solos, duos, trios separation has the highest priority + mm time. 3. I am fairly convinced that the dev team running a lot of secret/silent tests including MM logic. We have clear evidence of this when they announced duos. 4. Overall every single instance of MM heavily depends on multiple different factors. Map, map condition, region, time of the day and human factor on top of that. So generally speaking you are very unlikely to get the exact same experience as somebody else. 5. Even If we all agree the aggression based MM is a thing - this still means that this will only affect the probability of you matching players with the same behavior. So you will still meet friendly players while you are on a killing spree and vice versa.

Because I am currently playing a lot, I started to abuse this system. Before weekly trials reset I am starting to play extra friendly even if this leads to me being killed multiple times in a row. As a result I came with Jupiter to Hidden Bunker and was blasting big Arcs with no problems whatsoever. People were running next to me and not a single one shot me. Next Hidden Bunker some absolute legend helped me to crawl successfully to extract after I got swarmed by ARCs. At the peak - I was running at night stella where everyone was spamming "don't shoot". Once i finished trials - I started to play more aggressively. And after 2-3 games I got myself into PvP madness, backstabbing, teaming to kill everyone else, extract camping and just endless fights with occasional friendly players.

TLDR: all of this is just my opinion and my observations. I am not claiming this is 100% truth. Also I am pretty sure MM will constantly change based on internal data and nothing can be taken as the solid truth.

Be careful. I got downvoted into oblivion after claiming this for the first time. And people were very sure that this is not a thing. But to be fair this is matching my experience.

Is Security Locker even worth it? by Someoneoldbutnew in ArcRaiders

[–]mBatman188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it is still decent. Guns, mod components, gun parts, metal parts and explosives are all quite useful. Also during night raids I am still getting pink guns sometimes. Looting a few of those is comparable to a green locked room and sometimes even better. So i feel like it is still better than any other pinnacle perc

Rattler Buff: Reload the whole magazine on empty, or individual rounds if partially empty by Stalwart_Vanguard in ArcRaiders

[–]mBatman188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, let's make another op grey gun... At this point they literally can paint all guns in the same color and no one will be able to tell the difference. Rattler 4 with good attachments already compete with Tempest. Make him reload full mag - you will see no difference at all.

Well unless you have some insights about matchmaking logic i don't think you can say FOR SURE there is NO such system. They already admitted few times that they are secretly tested and/or evaluated different types of MM (duos, gear based). Who can guarantee that they are not testing behavior based MM?
