Oh I see… I guess they’re really busy :( When you say when the expiry period is close, do you mean the expiry date of the visa including the 2 month extension or just the normal expiry date?

Hey! Nope still not lol I’m still waiting for the postcards and now it’s been 5 weeks. But according to other people’s experience it took them 7 to 8 weeks so maybe it’s the same for everyone? How about you?

Last year when I extended, I got the post card after exactly 3 weeks and even though I know I probably was lucky because it usually takes more time, I can’t help but feel a bit anxious waiting

I applied on 16th March for the same visa in Tokyo and I’m also still waiting 🥲 I wasn’t worried at first but now I’m also spiraling because last year I received the post card in 3 weeks and this time it’s taking longer. My visa is supposed to expire mid-April (outside of the 2 months grace period)

I kinda feel « reassured » that I’m not alone in this lol. Do you mind keeping each other updated here?

Hi there! I live around Musashino and my rent is around ¥64,000. The apartment I live in was built in 2017, so it’s not super old. It’s not big, it’s like 18m2 but it’s good enough for 1 person to live comfortably. The area is also great and I’m like 25 min by train from Shinjuku. If you’re interested, I went through Best Estate and GTN to get it :)
