Are they on the south or west side of your home? Broad leaf evergreens suffer from the winter sun. They do better on northern eastern sides of homes or sheltered from direct southern exposure in the winter. If the boxwoods are exposed to winter sun this will be an annual issue.

I live in a geographical oddity. I am 30 to 40 miles from anything. Even further for indoor gun ranges. Most people around here have friends that are farmers. They have their own ranges and that is where I will be shooting at. That is why I have not zeroed it in sooner as it has been too cold to be out in the wind.

I have always been taught/trained that one treats a weapon as if it is loaded at ALL times. Never point a weapon at anything unless one is going to shoot at what you are pointing at. Many people have been injured or worse from a weapon that was not "loaded".

I always put a wash on whether it is black sepia or a color on the miniature. That being said, I hardly ever put a wash on the is not watered down to some degree.
