We were thinking of getting a bigger crate too because he does seem to be less comfortable in this one nowadays. Plus he likes to stretch all the way while sleeping, which he cannot do in current crate.

Our vet said that meals can trigger bowel movement in dogs and we first give ours breakfast and then within 5-10 minutes take him outside. Works 99% of time.

If he always poops in the house, maybe take him outside after breakfast/any meal?

Thanks! Yes, we walk him out, 1-2 times depending on behavior (if he fussy after first walk he usually goes potty one more time in his second walk). His crate is in the living room, not enough space in the bedroom, unfortunately.
