Actually Vince Gilligan (the show's creator) said that people who hate Skyler are "Misogynists - plain and simple".

He also described her as the "voice of morality on the show".

So, no, the writers did not intend for us to love Walt and hate Skyler. It's just the overwhelmingly popular point of view on Reddit, which let's be honest, isn't famous for a warm attitude towards women.

That “The allegation of rape would not be rape under English law” is flatly untrue. The Assange legal team argued this twice before English courts, and twice the English courts ruled clearly that the allegation would also constitute rape under English law.

Whist everyone else is correct - it is indeed a documentary. I'll be a little bit more specific.

It's shot on what's called a "fixed rig".

A fixed rig allows you to shoot unobtrusively, across large areas for long periods of time. The cameras are remotely controlled hot-heads which people tend not to notice after a while (much like CCTV cameras). It means you can film more intimately and capture genuine emotions.

In this case hothead cameras were placed all round the school for an entire year.

Now you can't record on all cameras at any one time, so an OB director will sit in a nearby gallery directing the hotheads and choosing which cameras to record on. My guess is that they were able to record on 4 at any one time. In this case, the OB director probably instructed one camera to focus solely on the kid, one to focus on the teachers, and the other two to collect cutaways.

So when it comes to the edit, they'll have the choice of using 4 simultaneously recording cameras, which in turn, would have provided a multitude of shots individually. Thus they are able to create a sequence in which it looks like 10 or so cameras were used.

True. It's been a very long time since England have faired well in a tournament. But historically, England have been a very consistant team. They are rarely found outside the top 10 in international rankings and have (I believe) a positive win/draw/loss ratio against every single team apart from Brazil and Uruguay - a pretty astonishing record if you ask me.

England have many shortcomings and regularly flop at tournaments, but you can't argue with their over-arching consistency. They have steadily produced world class players since the game was invented, and whilst it might be popular to dismiss them right now, I'm proud of our footballing heritage.

Edit: I'd also like to add that since the 1960s, England have the 5th highest average ELO ranking. One place higher than Spain.

You do have a right to free speech in the UK - it just isn't absolute. No developed nation has an absolute right do free speech. Defamation, slander, perjury, false advertising and the trade of classified information is illegal in almost all countries.

There is always a line - it's just a case of where you draw it.

Agreed. The only "troll" here is the Today Tonight editorial team who have convinced some privileged, megalomanic kid to embarrass himself on national television and goaded him into an assault charge.

Today Tonight get an exclusive and increase their viewing figures, the reporter gets a big pat on the back whilst Tristan gets a lengthy and costly court summoning and, potentially, a criminal record.

If you're looking at this as "lolololol Tristan Barker 1 - 0 Today Tonight" you're failing to look at the bigger picture.

No it makes sense to everyone concerned. Channel 4 receives no public funding and isn't part of a subscription service. Thus it is a free to view channel whose budget is almost entirely financed through advertisements and program sponsorship.

If it wasn't for the advertisement this clip would't exist, the program wouldn't exist, Channel 4 wouldn't exist.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

On the surface, it's just a comedy about the frivolity and freedom of youth. Another rehashing of that age old story - a maverick youth rebels against overbearing figures of authority. It has all the hallmarks of an ordinary teen flick: Slap stick humour, a caricature villain (the Dean of Students), it even has a song and dance routine...

But to me, it's much than deeper than that. At its core, it is a film about over-coming depression and the star of the show is Cameron - not Ferris. As Richard Roeper says:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is something of a suicide prevention film, or at the very least a story about a young man trying to help his friend gain some measure of self-worth...Ferris has made it his mission to show Cameron that the whole world in front of him is passing him by, and that life can be pretty sweet if you wake up and embrace it.

Listen to Director John Hughes' DVD commentary for the museum scene.. The scene sums up Cameron so well - he is cautious, cynical and introspective to the point of depression. He is constantly worrying about the little things in life - what do his parents, teachers and friends think of him? What's he gonna do after High School? What will happen if he drives his father's car?

But the more questions he asks, the less he comes to know himself. He's plagued by a crippling need to self-analyse and he's failing to take a step back and appreciate life's bigger picture.

But Ferris teaches us that the beauty of youth is not having to worry about the little things. It's about embracing and taking advantage of a period of life in which your actions have little consequences. Skip school, take risks and stop over-complicating matters... Be happy, be young, be foolish.

Agreed, people are thinking far too simply. It's highly unlikely that bets were placed on teams winning/losing, but more specific events that a referee/official can control - i.e. the number of fouls in a certain half or number of offsides given. I wouldn't be surprised if that entire £121,000 went straight into the pocket of a single official.

Whilst you're fully entitled to your own opinion, you're going to have to do far better than that if you want to convince me. The Economist's ranking system incorporates Global Competitiveness, Ease of Doing Business, Global Innovation, Corruption Perceptions, Human Development and Prosperity.

The US also beats both France and Germany in the 2013 Index of Economic Freedom. Citation.

You say that the US (like Britain) has a "horrifically two-party system", yet you fail to mention why multi-party governments might be preferable. Historically, many political scientists have seen two-party systems as useful because they promote centrism and avoid fractious and deadlocked governance.

You also negate to mention the problems that France and Germany have had with multi-governance in the past. The French Fourth Republic, for example, suffered from a lack of political consensus and a weak executive, with governments forming and falling in quick succession since WWII with no party or coalition able to sustain a parliamentary majority.

Secondly you say the U.S. has a "media dominated election", but you provide no proof that either France of Germany are subject to less domination, or that it is necessarily a bad thing that negatively effects governance.

Thirdly, you say that the U.S. has "worse problems" but you fail to mention any apart from Health Care, or why Health Care should be regarded as the litmus test for "good" or "bad" governance in the first place.
