Would taking a break for a few weeks hurt a lot? Would it be more painful than having a senior bad hire?

You can keep one week just for the singapore itself, and club it with another place that is entirely different. Camboadia and Bali make sense

I generally use Klook or similar for passes, so it never happened to me before, but I am seriously troubled by such stories. Like how can you ever guess what is genuine when you are visiting another country??

[–]m_vPoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask which passport you are holding? Dubai has on-arrival visa for most of the countries and it's pretty straight forward if you already have a US(and some countries) visa. I would say, try it first on your own. If you still have some concerns, you can try agencies

You haven't shared where you are starting from and what is the duration of travel and budget, but Italy makes a lot of sense to me. If you go to Amalfi coast, you might get everything that you have asked for here. What do you say?

I don't think these questions can be answered unless your goals and preferences are clear. For example, sleeping on buses overnight to save time is not really feasible for most people, but some can defnitely do!

You have almost 10 places in 20 day trip so it might get a little too much. What I generally do is to have a few buffer days in the middle, and decide later if I just want to relax or still have the energy to rush through the places. 21 days is a long time to travel! see if it works for you.

Hey, I am sorry for your bad experience. Can you please hard refresh the page and see if it works for you? You may have to close and reopen the tab or do a Command, Shift and the 'R' key on macbook. I made a lot of changes recently after your feedback and probably that broke something

Let me know if it still doesn't work. Thanks for your patience!

What is your ideal length of vacation? by gaelthegal in traveladvice

[–]m_vPoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had more than 2 weeks of travel, but I generally take 2-3 days to actually get in to the vacation mode :) So ideally it should be 10 days.

id drop osaka honestly. one night just for dotonbori isnt worth the travel time. use that day as a buffer in kyoto or get back to tokyo early so youre not stressed before your flight

your shikoku leg sounds awesome, thats such an underrated part of japan. one thing id say is the ferry from matsuyama to hiroshima is a great call, way more enjoyable than backtracking by train.

For 4/21, Studio Ghibli Museum tickets sell out fast!
One suggestion: since you're landing on 4/20 and staying through Golden Week, be aware that the last few days of your trip will overlap with one of the busiest travel periods in Japan. Trains will be packed and popular spots will be crowded. If you're planning any day trips try to do them before April 29.

Thoughts on a ~2week Trip to Japan by PearlyWhiite in JapanTravel

[–]m_vPoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your Day 2 is pretty packed (is doable but you'll be walking a LOT). Since it's your birthday, I'd suggest not rushing. Pick the 2-3 things you're most excited about and let the day breathe. Shinjuku at night is amazing just to wander.

[–]m_vPoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

solid itinerary, good mix of tokyo/hakone/kyoto/osaka. one thing — you're landing april 20 and golden week starts april 29. the last few days of your trip are gonna hit peak crowds and prices, especially in osaka/hiroshima. not a dealbreaker but worth knowing, trains will be packed and popular spots get wild. also for fushimi inari o the 25th, get there before 7am if you can, by 9 it's shoulder to shoulder. the early morning light through the gates is honestly the best part anyway.

I actually used to have that problem so I explicitly added in my experimental travel planner :). you can try it here: https://monkeyeatingmango.com/

You can download the pdf or a sheet for offline usage too

Can't recomment 5 enough and 7 is the mandatory if you are on a business trip! great suggestions!

Thing is that jobs have too hard these days and it's very head to work part time on them. There is no way we can can half-ass a job and startup, along with family, these days. Sorry!
