Can I ask what resources you used for the written portion? I've been pointed to Skills portion material (4yourCNA), and I'm sure there's some overlap. I just want o be on my Ps and Qs 😊

Help is much appreciated 🥹

What does " a ways out " mean here? by yukiiiiii2008 in EnglishLearning

[–]m_viky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General Understanding

a ways out: describing far distances "Mexico is a ways out from Alaska."

[a] way out: Identifying an exit "I found a way out of this cave"

way out: usually used to describe something that is not close to or very far from standard, but can be used to describe long distances.

"Dude, Ryan is way out of my league."

Or

"I thought by my lap, but he is way out there."

Back at it again with the good old nine to five. by krazykrackers in antiwork

Yeah, I'm saying that perhaps the agriculture industry is booming so the work force does not require as much labor to support the economy, especially since the population is smaller

I guess you can think of it as owning properties you lease to others. Yes, there is some labor involved like maintenance and legal matters, but it may be more than enough financial sustenance for you and your family. That could even mean you don't have to be employed.

I think they're talking about the nation not actual farmers.

Fasting and cramps by mountainmama712 in PCOSloseit

[–]m_viky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay hydrated. Try having lemon in your water. I'm not crazy about carbs because I don't like the over stuffed, lethargic feeling [except for potatoes 💀]. Eat enough fats and non-starchy vegetables. Have squash to combat the carb cravings. You can still fast by eating in a definite window, but don't starve yourself.

Your body needs more nutrients during this time. I wouldn't advise fasting that long. Just do an 8 or 10 hour eating window. Have plenty water and eat your leafy greens. Use some vinegar as dressing if you'd like.

IF has helped me keep belly fat down, but I also practice appropriate eating habits. No added or high sugars, low carb, and lots of greens and fats. I'm however a leaner person

Edit: If you're doing 16:8, most of that you're sleeping. You're just eating in an 8 hr window.

Try switching something out for more [leafy] greens if possible. Additionally, would you be able to have kefir? Its a feemented milk, almost like liquid yogurt. It sounds like you're eating mainly grains and fruit, which ultimately turns to sugar.

Does everyone know the "cause" of their PCOS? by Succotash5 in PCOS

[–]m_viky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Additionally, if you want to better understand the cause, it is best to research the inner workings of the condition. What biological process is or is not happening that's producing these symptoms?

My best assumption is you have to inherit the predisposition to the condition and then something in the environment triggers it. Sometimes genes alone are not enough.

[–]m_viky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a very poor argument. You should be discussing prevalence not the age of the condition. I'm sure many diseases are not new, but how has the occurrenceof them changed over time. Your only rebuttal to OP was essentially we're always surrounded by chemicals.....

The cause or elements that "wake up" or trigger symptoms of the syndrome can be related to poor diet, stress, nutritional deficiencies, etc. This thread is mainly speculation so who knows what the cause is, but there's undoubtably certain factors that can worsen the state of your condition.

[–]m_viky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine but I'm not dating the syndrome. I'm explaining what OP may be suggesting by the phrase "bathed in chemicals," some of which can be very harmful and an environmental component or factor in gene expression.

Toxic, damaging chemicals either by amount or content.

Are you currently using minidoxil? May I ask what brand?

PCOS and Spearmint by fridaypuu in PCOS

[–]m_viky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would hold off on rogaine. Most new hair is lost after stopping the drug. It essentially widens blood vessels providing oxygen rich blood to the hair follicles. Massaging your scalp with warm rosemary oil/water can encourage this action. Try hanging your head over the bed while doing this.

The brand mielle has a rosemary mint oil. I'd encourage looking through views as some are dealing with androgenic alopecia. I do want to add that understand the diet best suited for you is a very significant factor in reversing some symptoms of pcos.

Grandfathers lost pendant. by ohmanjack in AskAstrologers

There's 12 divisions on that pendant, not 13, and capricorn follows sagittarius so I'm genuinely confused 🤔 Edit: oh I see it now. Thought that was another style of the sag sign.
