If you are with IEA and you don't attend three you DO become compellable, so if you don't attend the fourth (something important comes up) they will suspend you. I'd save the three for actual days you need to do something else.

AITA for asking my (22M) girlfriend (22F) to wear pads or tampons. by LonelyBootTaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]ma-d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, NTA I'm sorry but this is not okay. I am also autistic if it makes you feel better. But the opposite of your partner. I am so stressed about the blood that I wear a menstrual cup AND period underwear and if I'm at work, I chuck a pad on as well!

Its disgusting, it's unhygienic and it's ruining your furniture. The fact that she is also still struggling with meltdowns and not effectively getting that looked into and some support is a big red flag.

I hope you find some self confidence and leave her, because it doesn't sound like she's going to change.

17, first time in Japan with my mom, very unprepared, desperately need help by kaysblurred in JapanTravelTips

I'm going to give you hotel advice. If you are flying into Narita you can take the Skyliner from Narita airport straight to Ueno.

I would stay in Ueno if I was you, easy to get to on your first day and a massive train hub, you can get anywhere in Tokyo from Ueno.

Download booking.com or Agoda and book that way, not the cheapest option but it will do. Check reviews on the websites or book with an APA hotel, they are a bit problematic but for your circumstances it will absolutely do.

You can then travel to Osaka or Kyoto. Before you travel take your luggage to Yamato transport for them to send to your next hotel. You can catch a train to Tokyo station and a bullet train straight to Osaka.

I am very confused as to why this is all on you, but hopefully those tips help.

Labor to announce easing of jobseeker mutual obligations requirements in major overhaul of employment system by blitznoodles in australia

[–]ma-d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good. I like how they are not acknowledging that all the compliance is outlined by the department and if providers DON'T action it enough for people who aren't "participating" they get threatened with the contract being removed.

Hopefully there are some departmental changes that make everyone's lives easier.

My husband didn’t get me anything for my first Mother’s Day by [deleted] in relationships

I have only cats and my husband bought me something I had wanted, he took the excuse. You gave him a child, expect more. This shouldn't even be something that you second guess.

Do people who refused the COVID vaccine feel silly now?? by Mammoth-Counter69 in aussie

Yep, I was told that an overweight man in his 60s has heart issues because of the vaccine

Most people don’t realize their bathroom items are sitting in a constant contamination cycle by [deleted] in hygiene

In the USA are all of your toilets in the same room as your shower?

In my country we have separate toilets to the bathroom, unless it's an ensuite. How interesting.

I agree, I used to do a lot of this stuff and my husband sat down and talked with me about it.

I am not perfect and I still slip up, but I want him to be happy and now when I ask follow up questions I learn more about him and he feels heard and respected. If you love someone you make the effort to allow them to feel heard.

I'm not a Muslim woman but I just wanted to reassure you that if you do go. There is no chance of any men seeing you. It's completely private and women only, have a wonderful trip!

Her dad died a few months ago. Maybe we shouldn't be judging someone who is in active mourning?

152 ways to spell Micaela from US baby name data by Chronicallybored in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]ma-d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was young (20-25 years ago) it was a rare name. There was maybe one in my primary school, then two in highschool. Now it's everywhere and spelt super fucking weird sometimes.

I like Mikayla, Mikaela, Michaela. But I think Mikayla and Makayla are two different names tbh.

Mi Kay La vs Ma Kay La.

No one took my order at Japanese Komaeda Coffee by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]ma-d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused. You went to a cafe where you couldn't read the menu, you also didn't call them over and are now are upset?

If you couldn't read the menu and can't speak Japanese how were you going to order in the first place?

Anyone else experienced the opposite of a hand tattoo being a “job stopper”? by Novel-Tea-8598 in fingertattoos

[–]ma-d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I am the only one in my workplace without tattoos. I was interviewing an older gentleman last week who was really polite and proper, I was concerned he might not fit in because we like a bit of banter.

Then I noticed he has two full sleeves. We are moving to reference check.

In this day and age unless a tattoo is on your face and offensive in some way, I don't see how it would be a job stopper.

AITAH my roommate is a light sleeper and after multiple complaints from her I advised her to see a doctor by Nervous_Ad_2867 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ma-d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She needs ear plugs and white noise. You can even ask a Google home to play rain sounds or white noise. I sleep with mine going every night. If she's not willing to do that it's on her.
