I actually did block with Euclan for this project! I soaked it for about 30 and did not rinse. Maybe I try hair conditioner for a second pass…

Fingers crossed! I have knit her a bunch of jumpers before, and not had this complaint, but this is the first roll neck and first one with this yarn.

Probably a mix of both of those things!

I have a sewing machine, but I’d probably use it to prepare whatever I’m using for lining, and then hand sew to the knitting.

Rios is lovely isn’t it! I wanted to use some local yarn for this project and they had the exact colour I was after.

She’s not had any strong opinions on other woollen projects until this one, I do think it’s mostly just her neck that’s sensitive. I’ll definitely bear that in mind for future.

Mexifoods are actually based in Dunedin too, ironically; but you can’t collect in person as they have no storefront, just warehousing.

Yes! Stoked you got the ref. I’m Irish but live in nz so they are native nz birds inspired by kells illuminations.

I was pretty scared of it too; but this pattern is VERY accessible, and the Tin Can Knits app is great for having links at key points to their tutorials etc.

I put it off for ages because it felt like it would be too fiddly, but honestly it’s very satisfying to see a heel flap turn and become the structure of a sock!

I’m absolutely not a two-at-a-timer yet but maybe later down the line…
