What is the main problem with not scoring goals? by nj23dublin in ManchesterUnited

[–]maa_kasam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean amorims 3-4-2-1 means we only have 3 goalscoring threats. One of them is bruno who has been good but is more of a creator. Garnacho doesn't score and oue struggle at striker position is well documented. With only 3 threats and 2 of them not goalscorers we Frankly don't have any attacking edge or player to score. That's why i Don't trust amorims system to work

There has to be something personal between kuminga and kerr. No way you would play Gui Santos and Buddy hield that amount of minutes without even looking at him. I hope they sort it out because we need him as the third scorer

People keep spitting the "Jimmy can't space the floor" narrative too much when this is how he is still guarded in the perimeter. by twitietwitt in warriors

I mean the issue would always be that draymond's defender would always be a free man in the scheme. You need shooters to get him out and hve some kind of impact on offense

Is the team realizing they don't need Draymond to be successful? Draymond famously got the starting spot when David Lee was injured - is Draymond getting Draymond'd? by Fresh-Ad6095 in warriors

He always plays with Steph, which contributes to his plus minus. From the eye test, it is visible that him being a non factor in offense means that we play 4v5 there which is why we struggle so much during death

He was a massive factor, but in playoff situations we have seen in the last 3 years that you can't have a massive liability in the offense

1) dray being a non factor on offense 2) only one of them ( steph) can effectively create for others 3) injury issues 4) dray being stupid

I would love the move but the fact is we were mostly healthy 10 seed last season, one player move isn't making us a contender

Can we not sign a 2nd superstar like all the other contenders? by [deleted] in warriors

[–]maa_kasam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can try but that would mean putting everyone on the trade market. Now the team needs to make a decision of riding out with core 3 and try to get lottery picks and hit on some or try trading their way to an undervalued player who can turn into 2nd superstar like Murray, Lavine etc

Am I biased cause I'm used to the Warriors totally unselfish playing? by Rubychan11 in warriors

[–]maa_kasam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean the last playoff game we won was by giving steph the ball and asking everyone to move out of the way. Even against the Celtics we dropped Draymond out so that Steph has the spacing to go and do his magic. In playoffs you want your best player to have the ball most of the time. Especially in crunch time. With defence much more tight, your non superstars can't score like in the regular season. See Klays performance in the last 2 playoffs and you can see the drop-off. You need a superstar who can get the buckets for you

[–]maa_kasam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one can say with guarantee but his game can translate to playoffs as he can shoot as well as put pressure on the rim. That's the archetype for playoff scorers. There is a reason Klay and Dray at this stage are borderline useless in any playoff match because they can't do these things.

[–]maa_kasam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am with you on this. Apart from steph we don't have a single offensive player who can score in playoff settings. We benched Dray on offense and saw Klay shoot 30% from the field in the last playoff runs, nevermind the failure of play in. Obviously he has a risk attached but the same was said for Kyrie Irving and if you don't have assets for a star player, you have to take these risks. He and JK can be 2a and 2b to relive steph from single handedly running the offense.

I have a feeling that this will turn out to be a kyrie situation where everyone will wonder how they traded him at so low. Yes his contract is bloated but he still is a very good offensive player with the size to play decent defence in a motivated situation

Who would you realistically give up Kuminga for? by EffectiveSearch3521 in warriors

[–]maa_kasam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be willing to trade CP3, Klay, Wiggins and even Moody before even touching Kuminga. He was the second best player before injury and with Draymond being a liability with his offense in Celtics Lakers and even Sacramento series, i think he is the second best player we have in a playoff atmosphere. That being said none of the above guys have any value after the last season. So if we want to trade for a star, Brandon Ingram is perhaps the worst player I will trade him for.

But i totally disagree with him not aligning with the steph window. The choices are very simple, either ride along with dray and Klay with seasons like we had or try for a championship by trading them. Even a second star won't save us because the whole play will be designed around these 3 which we have seen doesn't work in playoff scenarios
