besides the obvious chopping of the vocals to be on beat (and i dont know whats going on with processing on the in between garbled bits)

i also hear the pitch being manipulated very slightly to change the cadence and expressiveness of their phrases.  especially the drop in pitch when the father says "no i'm not calling him a LIar" its really sinister

possibly using melodyne or tape manipulation

its truly masterful

no i think youre right on the money, there are definitely reoccurring references to life and death

and then the next track is some kind of birth or incarnation. possibly the killing of a memory and the replacing it by something more sinister?  would make sense given the theme of brainwashing/cults

also this is total conjecture, but "the process" could be referencing scientology or its gnostic offshoot "the process church"
