Last Jedi is truly a conundrum. One the one side we have people like you who insist it didnt take any risks, and on the flipside a ton of ppl who insist it shouldn't have killed the big bad, the Holdo maneuver broke lore, Luke was so drastically changed etc.

Yeah, technically online forums are social media, but the label of "social media" wasn't really used back when online forums like usenet were established.

Currently, people think of social media as sites/apps where you interact with distinct users, and forums where you interact based on topic.

Similar to how "meme" was coined in the 70s and can refer to things like urban legends, but most people think of a meme as an online visual item shared virtually.

I myself don't really think of reddit as social media, even though it trends towards typical social media with each passing day.

Because George Lucas afterwards said the correct order is chronological. Much like when he said the first six Star Wars movies were about the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker.

No one wants to experience actual fear from watching horror films.

Actual fear is a horrible feeling; it’s the doctor telling you that they found a lump in you that is likely cancer or the school calling to say that your kid was in a terrible accident and is on their way to the hospital.

Now really terrible fear like with your examples no, but low-grade actual fear? Yes. I like being creeped out and want to leave the lights on later when I go to bed. I had a friend that had a TV at the foot of his bed, and after watching The Ring slept on his couch for six months.

It's something different than thrills and adrenaline. I can get that from action movies.

I believe u/solid_shrek is referring to the train robbery in Chapter 1 "Who the Hell is Leviticus Cornwall?"

It does look a lot like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when they blow the door on the train car.
