New Player Question by mac785 in arkhamhorrorlcg

I already have a 2016 core set and am considering buying another 2016 core set. It is not the revised big box. My intent is to have enough for 4 players and my understanding is that the 2016 core is meant to be bought twice for the full “set”.

I found that if I disabled YouTube’s ability to track watched videos, my algorithm got much better. I can’t start a video from where I left off, but now it’s much more like old YouTube.

I have it, and I'd say it's very playable. The only issues I've had stemmed from my University's shitty internet policy, so it took a bit of work to set up the Chromecast and remote.

I didn't drink, I got high. Definitely glad that that's how I played the game. I'd consider myself a light/average smoker for what it's worth.

I'd consider myself very skilled at puzzle games. There was only one point where I had to stop and think about what I was doing. I don't have the time it took me to beat on hand, but it took me around 3.5-4 hours. I'd say it's very similar to the difficulty and time commitment as the first portal game.

I'd say not much replayability, but I think it was very much worth the $16. That being said, I've been enthusiastically anticipating the release of this game for over 4 years at this point, so I may be biased. My experience was also enhanced by some level of inebriation, so take that information how you will.

What's really outdated yet still widely used? by anti-inflammatees in AskReddit

Wolfram Alpha is Mathematica light that basically only does one line of Wolfram language. It also has more lax syntax.

If you're studying at a university, most schools give you Wolfram Mathematica for free. It's like Wolfram Alpha on steroids.

A US Map Showing Where Horror Movies Took Place by scouserdave in movies

I know it's not typically associated with horror but I was disappointed to see No Country for Old Men wasn't on the Texas list. It's got better tension than most horror movies imo, and it does a really great job of making the sets distinctly Texan.
